    OT; Love both movies but if I had to choose, I'd go with Scarface.
    It's almost flawless.

    How am I not thinking for myself, since SL days I've called departed overrated in Scorsese's filmography and claimed that Goodfellas is in my top 3 films of all time

    I'd rank Goodfellas ahead of The Departed filmography wise, simply because it influenced The Departed so much (as well as Infernal Affairs) and Pesci's performance is the best of either film. That said, the narration is overbearing, it's kind of breezy despite relying on its characters heavily and having a lot to say about them, the kid montage to kick it off is WOAT. I'd rather watch The Departed any day of the week.
