Reading and Compton saw an unlikely twinning at the weekend, when Kendrick Lamar said that its festival reminded him of his hometown.

After performing his track ‘i’, Lamar told the crowd: “One thing I love about being out here, it kinda reminds me of Compton."

He described the festival-goers as “some of the most live, live, live individuals”, told them he loved them and promised he’d be back in future.
His set at the festival, oddly paired with The Libertines on the main stage, also saw him play hit tracks 'King Kunta', 'Money Trees' and the anthem ‘Alright’.

Compton has been massively in the spotlight over the past couple of years, with several of Lamar’s albums telling of the city’s troubles and the NWA biopic Straight Outta Comptoncurrently dominating the box office.

Such is the severity of the economic situation in the city, that you currently can’t actually watch Straight Outta Compton in Compton.

K-Dot already has plans for his next album, which he promises is going to ‘make everything make sense’.

Kendrick making a gospel album? An album with religious themes that are more overt and advocational? Food for thought

I want Kendrick to return to more of a sound like GKMC despite TPAB being brilliant.
I want features from Anna Wise
    Anyone from Black Hippy
    Terrence Martin
J.Cole (If collab album isnt coming)
    Anderson Paak
    Prince
Production from Sounwave, Dre, Pharrell, Tae Beast, and Terrence Martin.
THAT, would be one h--- of an album.

Secrets? Secrets that have been haunting him for a while now, as explained in "u."

    I know your secrets
Don't let me tell them to the world about that s--- you thinkin'
And that time you *gulp* I'm bout to hurl
    I'm f----- up, but I ain't as f----- up as you

There's been a lot of speculation whether Kendrick has actually killed a man, based on his lyrics on maad city, the blacker the berry, and Hol' Up. This could be one of many confessions, and Kendrick is finally ready to let the world know who he really is.

Already hyped for the album tbh. Based on his interview with the Guardian, this is definitely going to be a concept album. Kendrick is quoted in the interview saying, "Everything is going to make sense – not only to myself but to anybody who wants to understand life and music." Life AND music?! Life?! :woodson: Thats some f---ing GOAT/God s---. One of the things that got me hooked on Kendrick was his ties to the philosophical HiiiPower movement. Kendrick has really shaped the way I look at this world and life. Unfortunately, I haven't really heard Kenny talk about this since OD and section 80. I would love for Kenny to go back to some of these concepts on his next album.

He should just start spitting the truth about everything and start da revolution! Dot gets assassinated and goes down as DA GAWD. The album would be called HiiiPower, and it would go down in the books as GOAT.

    :kdotcry::wiggins::king:

Would love to hear some other ideas for Kendrick's next album! :kapppa:

If Kendrick actually admits that these are real hints in his music and he has actually killed someone :wtfno:

He probably won't but still it'd be something
