Nov 24, 2015 This is f---in' classic but I think it wasn't suppossed to out at all even in King Mathers. But there was a chance of drugged Em would use it in King Mathers, maybe he changed his mind after he came outta rehab.. Who knows...
Nov 24, 2015 TES is my fav but Encore had some undeniable classics. Like I said before it'd have been an undeniable classic if he changed the bonus tracks with Big Weenie, My 1st Single & a--- Like That or Rain man... Encore used to be my fav Em album in 2005
Nov 24, 2015 King Mathers would have been to Eminem what MBDTF was to Kanye as long as those terrible songs like Wee Wee didn't make the final album cut.
Nov 24, 2015 Great thread OP, I agree. Also Cocaine is GOAT... s--- I can't imagine how a GOAT album Eminem have scrapped. for whoever said it would be Gangster wanna be 50 cent 2.0 .... If you listened to The Apple, Eminem said: I'm not a G, never claimed to be.
Nov 24, 2015 Not to be a d-ck,, I enjoy relapse, but only in a certain mood.. Listen to this Eminem verse in Crack a bottle and see how accent does so much difference. Without accent (@0.54) : With Accent (@0.57) :
Nov 24, 2015 it's not a matter of what "sounds" better to you... if relapse was the first eminem album you ever heard, you wouldn't know about his "other" voice people fail to recognize and acknowledge what he was doing with the words and how he was twisting and making sentences bend in ways that aren't possible without having an accent... it's technically the most impressive display of rhyming and syllable chopping there is and ahead of it's time on a technical level.. i've got threads about it somewhere i'll bump them it's just sad when people overlook the album because of the way he chose to pronounce the words.. if you wanna complain about the serial killer theme or lack of actual lyrics, that's different... but the accent? that is relapse.
Nov 24, 2015 I feel you dude, actually it pisses me off too when people hate on recent albums because it is different than his older.. I can't believe there people call 3 AM, Insane, Must be the Ganja, and Medicine Ball trash,, while those are genius enjoyable tracks.
Nov 24, 2015 The accent was great on a lot of the songs tbh, it was just those like 3AM and Old Times Sake where it was way too strong. It's easily his best post hiatus flow over that forced screaming on Recovery and the forced nasal on MMLP2 as it actually flows smooth and sounds natural if you're not comparing it with his previous work.
Nov 24, 2015 The Must be Ganja second verse >>>>>> anything on Recovery excluding GTC, Seduction and Space Bound. And that's you trying to pick at Relapses worst songs. I'm surprised you didn't mention Underground as it is bottom 5 of his career, but then again I suppose you think it's great because it doesn't have an accent
Nov 24, 2015 3:37 The Apple Outro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yeah, and I'm the crazy one right? Whatever, then let me be the crazy one Cuckoo, cuckoo, tweet
Nov 24, 2015 I believe there is more to It's Been Real than the section we heard. CWYWF probably was. His references date it as an '07 recording.
Nov 24, 2015 listen to the voice. sounds like his drugged up King Mathers era self. and he says "8 years later I'm still at it". 8 years after SSLP would be 2007.
Nov 24, 2015 Willing to bet the entire Crack a Bottle song was for Detox... either that or Em was doing a reference for 50 Cent as well
Nov 24, 2015 The voice was the same untill mid 2008 I guess And mybe he wrote part of the song in late 2007 Who knows Wait, I'm gonna call him and ask this
