Nov 25, 2015 St. Louis Rams third-year wide receiver Stedman Bailey was shot twice in the head Tuesday night, a source confirmed to ESPN's Josina Anderson, and is in critical but stable condition. He is expected to undergo surgery Wednesday, the source said. A Rams source told ESPN's Wagoner that the team believes Bailey's injuries are not life-threatening. Bailey, 25, was resting overnight at Aventura Hospital Trauma Center in Aventura, Florida, a source told Wagoner. The Rams released a statement Tuesday night saying they were aware of the incident but did not release details of what happened. "We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening," the Rams said. "We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more." Bailey was sitting in a car with several people when he was shot, a source confirmed to ESPN. The driver of the vehicle was shot multiple times while attempting to shield children in the car from bullets. His wounds are more serious, the source said. Bailey was in Miami Gardens, Florida, when he was shot. The Miami Gardens Police Department is conducting the investigation. Bailey's hometown is Miramar, Florida, which is approximately 7 miles away. Several of Bailey's Rams teammates took to Twitter to offer their support and asked fans to keep him in their thoughts. @NFLsxn
Nov 25, 2015 Still hope he lives even though the Rams are in the Seahawks division and own the tie breaker.

My buddy works ticket sales for the Rams and may have an inside scoop, gna see if I can get any inside information regarding this. Edit: My buddy said it was a drive-by.
