It's the NBA, you never know. It would be a nice signature moment for Kobe this season though. I honestly don't see a potential L on their schedule until MAYBE the Suns on the 27th or the Raptors on 12/5.

Now that I've composed myself....

Covington had a great game with 28 points, 6 3-pointers and 8 steals.

Sixers put in a great effort without Nerlens Noel and we also played small towards the end without Okafor. Covington, Grant and Canaan had great games.

So hyped to see the worst player in the NBA tonight. Now it's not too often you can hear that sentence and it actually makes some sense, but tonight referring to me seeing Kobe for very likely the last time ever live it makes sense. I'm also going to the Blazers/Lakers game in January but it's like the 3rd game in 4 nights or something like that so it's very likely Kobe doesn't play. According to some stats that came out about shooting, Kobe was dead last in I believe 2 different categories. He's been awful this year (especially when it comes to shot selection) but it's gonna be hard for me not to get a bit sad tonight as I think of all the great Kobe moments I've got to see live over the years, I'm a huge fan and he's easily my all time favorite athlete, no one else is close. I'm gonna cheer him like crazy whether he goes 1-26, 0-14, anything similar to that or maybe he actually has a decent shooting night for once this year, who knows. Maybe he'll play smart team ball and not force anything.

Also very excited to see Russell play for the first time, Randle too but mainly Russell is who I'm more excited to see.

Considering the Lakers are 2-12, I'm actually VERY hyped for this game lol, it's gonna be fun. I just hope the Lakers don't get blown out, they usually keep games close for most of it at least.

Were all the Lakers games you got to watch vs the Wolves or T-Blazers? If so that kinda sucks....

Guess that's the good thing about living 10-15 mins away from where your favorite teams play, you can just go and see them whenever. Paul Pierce was obviously my favorite Celtic of all time and I probably saw him play 40+ times.

Most were against the Wolves and Blazers but that's not too bad actually. Most of the time in Minnesota, the wolves were awful so it was d--- near a guaranteed Lakers win when I saw them, then during a short stretch the wolves were good so I actually got to see a couple playoff series out of that (including a western conf finals). Then when I came to Portland the Lakers had a history of being awful here but actually won the very first game I saw here, then did decent ever since (probably about .500). I did also see 2 games in Staples and a game in Milwaukee and Denver too though.

But yeah last night was fun, I was 6th row from the court behind the basket kinda by the Lakers bench. Russell, Randle and Clarkson all did very good and gave a nice glimpse of the Lakers future. Lakers fell behind about 15 almost right away and that was basically the difference in the game, it was pretty even after that and Lakers cut it to 4-5 points a few times. Kobe took smarter shots, shots that were usually a part of the offense and had some nice plays. It was a better game than usual for him lately. Brandon Bass looks bad but it's not all his fault, Byron continues to play him at the center position even though it's clearly not working out. Black should get these minutes at center.

Curry had a beautiful floating no look pass over his shoulder and a huge clutch 3, Warriors barely hung on to beat the Jazz and keep their streak alive, exciting finish.

Celtics after not showing up in Orlando last night came out and had a solid game against the Heat. Out of their 10 wins 9 of them have been by double digits.



Since the ASB last year the Celtics are 10-1(8-0 on the road) in the 2nd game of a back to back. Says a lot about Brad Stevens and the type of team the C's are.

On an unrelated note LSU is garbage this year, little worrisome that the supposed #1 pick in the draft can't beat College of Charleston by himself.
