Dec 1, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-30143283 Do you remember the bad old days of computer viruses so invasive that it was easier to nuke your software and start over than fix the problem? They're back... in mobile form. Lookout has noticed a trend toward Android malware that masquerades as a popular app, but quietly gets root-level access to your phone and buries itself deep in the operating system. If that happens, you're in serious trouble. Unless you can walk through loading a fresh ROM or carefully modify system files over ADB, it may be easier to just replace the device, or have your phone company reflash it -- a simple factory reset won't get the job done. Some of the bogus apps are little more than shells for ads, but others will work properly while they compromise your device. As with a lot of Android malware, you generally have to go to a third-party store to get these corrupted apps. You'll likely be fine if you stick to Google Play. Lookout says it spotted over 20,000 modified apps, however, and some of the highest infection rates are in Google Play-friendly countries like Germany and the US. In other words, this isn't simply an issue in those regions where third-party stores are the only real sources for apps -- it's a global issue. These exploits take advantage of the same security holes that many people use to root their devices, so as long as those exist the problem may also continue. For now, the best bet is for people to be more cautious with their downloads. Well d---
Dec 6, 2015 My bro copped the One Plus Two, I borrowed it for a few days to try it out. s--- is dope, especially for the price tag. Only thing that I didn't like: - Camera was trashhhh. - I wish they had the iOS 'swipe back' gesture as well as the back button. It's a big phone so when I'm in Chrome browsing, it sucks having to adjust my grip to hit the back button. Having both would be dope. Other than that it's dope. I got my Apple Music set up on the phone, and my entire iTunes library from my Mac was on the phone fam, I was so happy. It was like going to some random party alone and seeing your best friend across the room. And this is more of an Android OS thing, but that Google Now widget is the greatest thing ever, especially if you're follow sports. Having upcoming games and the scores for the last game on your home screen always >* Good phone, I recommend it to anyone who is on a budget.
Dec 6, 2015 @Mike Tyson Where your bro buy it from? I've heard its kinda hard to get and you need an invite.
Dec 6, 2015 They stopped doing invites last week, at least in Canada. He just got it straight off the site.
Dec 6, 2015 Lol you were probably missing the back button so much hahaha You can swipe back in any app, it does the exact same thing the back button does on Android.
Dec 6, 2015 Word I don't remember if it always used to be available in every app or not, I remember I had to adjust after going from the Note 2 back to iPhones too.
Dec 13, 2015 no really. LG makes arguably the best Android powered smartphones. And it runs Android's pure OS. No need for all that bloatware bs.
Dec 13, 2015 Yeah I know I had the nexus 4. Great device. Right now the s6 & one plus edge out the nexus 5 slightly.
Dec 13, 2015 For me too, i'm having a hard time with my OPO because i have small fingers I can't reach the menu button when i'm holding my phone with one hand
