why doesn't Dre make his own beats anymore?

Yes it did. When you consider his first too albums (which are 24 and 17 years old now) had singles that are STILL getting played and Compton literally never had one single that ever got played... the drop off is just mind boggling.

this. He probably wasn't the one coming with the hit song melodies. Piano on Still D.R.E. is made by Scott Storch for example which was the pretty much reason why that song became so huge and why most of us like it that much.

I'm just saying at least he always handled the production. This time he had no input on production or lyrics.

He still handles it as much as he used to do I believe... nearly every song had potential to be on radio in Compton album tho.

You know compton s----d when everybody was talking about the guest verses... you know you failed when its the first time people are not talking about the production on a Dr Dre album

tbh I feel like it was one of the worst produced albums of the year... its like dre just wanted to make bangers for casual people, he was like, ok lets make some generic s--- and add some bass

Man, you stans. Medicine Man is the worst song on the album. Don't even know how it made it to the album. It just feels so out of place.

Compton is a great album for what it is.

So out of place ? Why ?? because every song other than Medicine Man were telling a story from the movie ? And of course if a man likes Em a lot he'll love Medicine Man a lot. It was a great song. Kendrick fans thought all the songs Kendrick featured on were top 3. This so normal... But yes Compton is a great album

Medicine man made the album actually sell and Dre knew this.
And Em outshined everybody in old- fashion.

The album is cool, glad Preemo did some work. But kind of disappointed that it's a Dre album with no Dre production. That's the whole point of a Dre album

Because when Eminem comes on with his yelling s--- he totally kills the vibe and brings you out of what otherwise would be an enjoyable listening experience.

Every single song on the album is enjoyable to listen to to different degrees except for Medicine Man.

because the first one is a record made by Eminem & Rihanna and the other one was the first single of his studio album. Most people I know who bought the song didn't even like it, they just wanted to support Em.
