Tony and Khabib deserve the pay bump and that "title fight" is more interesting then Woodley/Wonderboy 2.

Not either of their faults that McGregor has taken the belt hostage.

I'm more interested in it than Wonderboy Woodley 2. But come on, even you have to agree there are far too many interim belts being thrown around. Is it because they want it to be a 5 round fight but can't since it's a co-main event? Or do they have to keep making interims to sell PPV buys. McGregor taking some time off isn't really hostage. However, last year when he had the FW belt and did 3 fights aside from defending it? Yes I'd say that's holding the belt hostage.

Right but if there is one Interim belt that i put merit in its this one. Lets be honest Conor didn't even really deserve the Title shot against Eddie as he never defended his FW belt and hadn't fought in the division (not that i have a problem at all with him getting it). Tony and Khabib have put in a ridiculous amount of work and neither should have to fight again to get a Title shot, but they are against each other for an Interim Title. Would honestly be a joke if this were a 3 round Co Main Event fight.

But i think in making this fight for an Interim Title, the UFC is trying to force McGregor's hand to defend against a worthy Contender. Still think there is a real chance Khabib wins and McGregor decides to return in July, essentially ruling out Khabib because of Ramadan (May 26th-June 25) and then we get the third Diaz fight.

Anyways



UFC had Bagautinov ranked #7 and Makovsky #13. Can't think of another division where they would let ranked guys go/cut them.

Hopefully that means they are bringing in a good amount of the TUF FLW's anyways.

All valid points and I agree. I'm torn between who I want to win. I like both, Khabib is sick and I've been a fan of Tony since he was in the TUF house, so awesome to see him evolve into a top competitor. I don't mind for either one really, I could go back and forth in my pick.

Also agree about McGregor shouldn't have had that shot against Alvarez, I think it was more a ploy for first card in NY and possibility of the first 2 time weight class champion. He did embarrass Eddie though yikes.
