they are angry when asked about that song because they know it's their most famous song and it will stay that way. Their run is over, their 5 minutes are gone, the ship has sailed, jigsaw didn't ask them to play another game etc.

This whole s--- stemmed from lil yachty interview. Apparently joe ran into P from QC (whoever the h--- that is) at the mall before the red carpet. Dude went up to him and basically told him to back off Lil Yachty and stop talking s---. Joe gave him his word. At the event, DJ Aka said he saw Lil Yachty and tried to say what's up but he shook his head and did a motion with his hand basically say like "nah... we don't f--- with you." Then Migos come, they sit down, joe shakes all of their hands except for Quavo who refused to shake Joe's hand before they started the interview. Throughout the interview, joe was getting irritated because they were giving s-----y responses. Then in the middle of the interview, the dude joe ran into at the mall comes in and is like "aye, joe and I talked in the morning and y'all ain't talking about Lil Yachty anymore." DJ Aka said he was basically trying to check joe on camera. After he left, joe was pretty much irritated with it all which is what prompted him to throw his b---- fit and drop the mic and walk away as DJ Aka was already wrapping up the interview.

Most of your posts in this thread are true, Joe was a marketing genius, but has had some AWFUL f---ing luck in terms of timing. He truly missed the boat.

However, Joe was pretty popular pre-Pump It Up and afterwards. He was on the Clue tapes, did s--- with Fabolous, and was on the mixtape scene rivaling 50 Cent before both of them dropped in 2003. So, even though I somewhat agree with the whole "internet" thing, I don't think it's entirely accurate. He had a pretty big buzz before Pump It Up, and after Pump It Up.

Obviously, Joe had some s--- luck with how his label promoted his album (pump it up dropped like 7 months before the actual album dropped). He also did a ton of mixtapes between 04-08, and a lot of them were top notch and well respected.

Joe obtained this whole "internet/underground" thing around the time of the Ransom beef, which was in 07-08, ironically, around the same time that Slaughterhouse formed.

I still blame Slaughterhouse for all of Joe's f---ing corniness, because I feel like he overcompensated to fit into their group.

Joe wasn't that before, he fit in perfect with rappers like Fabolous, Jae Millz, Stack Bundles, etc. I swear that's where all of this "real hip hop" s--- originated from, was Slaughterhouse.

As a long time Budden fan, he's been unbearable since forming the group. I miss the DJ Clue/Triangle Offense Joe Budden. He's one of the best MC's of all time.

From 03-08, Joe was so versatile with his content/ability. He could make basically any type of song and make it work, he just needed the platform. However, when he finally got the platform, he conformed to Slaughterhouse's style, and his music has suffered, as well as his likability.

This used to be the same dude who used to invite fans to bowling in New Jersey and was VERY interactive with his fanbase on MySpace. Dude is a fool now.

Joe Budden would take a track like "Boy Looka Here" (Rich Boy's second single that flopped hard.) and make it sound like a f---in' Top 40 Single on DJ Green Lantern Radio. And that was a regular day for Jumpoff in '07. Miss that s--- so much. His version of "Boy Looka Here" is better than the original version of "Throw Some D's" imo.
