Jul 20, 2017 Same. I was watching day 1 of the G1 and in between matches I pulled open Facebook on my phone and that's how the news got broken to me. I tried to continue watching but just couldn't get invested after that
Jul 20, 2017 Just finished the first hour and a half of day 2 and I really enjoyed the tag matches from today except for the bullet club vs tanahashi/Finley match. I'm not a big fan of Finlay, I don't care for his look or his cockiness, not to mention I think he only has 2 moves. The Juice Robinson match was great, that jumping impaler of his is pretty sick as well; definitely one of my personal favorite manuevers.
Jul 20, 2017 I just finished the second half of the show and I felt that it paled in comparison to night 1. I wasn't all that into any of the matches if I'm being honest they all had their moments though. SANADA gave Evil a beautiful tiger suplex, I could have done without the michael Elgin/tonga match. The okada match was funny to an extent but I'm not sure I want to watch another 8 matches with his opponent, I've gathered that he's a wild card but it's kind of silly in what's considered very serious tournament. The omega/Suzuki match was great but I can't help but feel all of omega's matches end the same, with a ton of knee triggers and a one winged angel. It's gotten a little stale to me. Juice Robinson probably surprised me the most . I feel block A has the superior matches at this point and is stacked with the better wrestlers imo. I also don't know much about most of the guys wrestling so I could be wrong and I hope I'm in for more surprises I'll more than likely rewatch the juice, SANADA, and omega matches again just to make sure I didn't miss anyrhing. Today wasn't the best of days for me so I'm not sure I enjoyed it ad much as I could have
Jul 20, 2017 ^^You just gotta get used to the stories being told in ring, I wouldn't say any Omega match or finish has been the same this year Also just finished night 2 Ibushi/Lion ZSJ Desperado - 3.5 Tonga/Elgin - 4 Sanada/Evil - 4.25 Juice/Kojima - 3.75 Omega/Suzuki - 4.75 Missed the Okada match skimming through, is that a good hilarious @Changeling ?
Jul 20, 2017 Saying the finishes are all thecsame is poor wording I guess, I just don't particularly care for the abundance of knees he starts throwing when it's time to end the match
Jul 21, 2017 @NJPWBros Finally finishing night 3, watching Naito vs Yoshi Hashi right now My thoughts so far Makabe vs Ishii ***3/4 Nagata vs Goto **** ZSJ vs Ibushi ****1/4 Tanahashi vs Bad Luck Fale **3/4 Any of the lower card tag matches good? I skipped them Definitely my least favorite night so far
Jul 21, 2017 I'm not going to be able to watch anything until Sunday night and Monday. I'll be 3 shows behind
Jul 21, 2017 Ah that sucks man @Raziel I'll continue to leave my thoughts if u want to skip and just watch the best matches instead of going through all 3 shows
Jul 21, 2017 Highlight of night 3 was ZBJ vs Ibushi but Ishii is really winning me over with all of his performances lately.
Jul 21, 2017 Omega/Takahashi (and his girl) vs Tonga/Owens is pretty essential going into tonight. It was an awesome comedy match but told a great story. Lots of tension in the club.
Jul 21, 2017 Naito/Yoshi-hashi - 4 Owens/Tonga vs Omega/Takahashi - 3.75 Makabe/Ishii - 3.75 Goto/Nagata - 4 Ibushi/ZSJ - 4.25 Tanahashi/Fale - 3.75 edit Might be my favorite night all around so far, honestly.
