Sep 5, 2017 The first hiatus, from November 12, 2004 until May 15, 2009 lasted 1645 days. In that time we got a greatest hits album with three new songs, a label album with seven Eminem songs, one loosie, one group track, and twenty features, for a total of 32 songs. That is an average of a song every 51.4 days This second hiatus from November 5, 2013 until present day has so far been 1400 days. In that time we got a label album with seven songs and one group song, a movie sound track with two songs, and two group songs, one loosie (Campaign Speech), and nine features for a total of 22 songs. That is an average of one song every 63.6 days. In those 1645 days of the original hiatus, we received constant news about new albums in the works. We have gotten no credible info on the new album, and the only information has been a tweet from Eminem about Campaign Speech. The second hiatus is only 245 days shorter, and is 12 days per track more barren, so at present, I'd say this hiatus is even worse than the first. Yet, no one seems to consider this a hiatus. Eminem is once again overweight, inconsistent in musical output, socially awkward, and now even had a major change in appearance. It's safe to say the methadone is back
Sep 5, 2017 You're right Even when he was in a drug induced heavy writers block he still put out music fairly consistently. Even if it wasn't good. There's no real excuse this time. The perfectionist act isn't fooling anyone. homie's on vacation
Sep 5, 2017 math took like fifteen seconds, I'm not even a huge Eminem fan, I just think he's a hypocrite and might possibly be on hard drugs again.
Sep 5, 2017 I watched the reading concert and idk its easy to make wild speculation but his audience interaction was more awkward than usual. His dialogues with Porter were also very disjointed. I'm not saying he is on drugs but I'm wouldn't say he might not be 8)
Sep 5, 2017 Rhymes can be more dense, but that doesn't excuse making an extremely corny promise to not even follow up. He's bearded, his musical output is slowed, he's gained weight: the signs are all there. The methadone strikes back
Sep 5, 2017 I've been thinking this for a while now Every sign points to another relapse He doesn't look good at all either. At least in 2009-11 he looked in shape and healthy. From 13' onwards he's looked weird as f---, too skinny and gaunt or chubby and bearded
Sep 5, 2017 I was going to say I was really impressed with your post before i read that last sentence. What a f---in moron lol.
Sep 5, 2017 I had a dream today, in which Eminem was performing in his beard and announced his new album called "Encore 2: Relapsed". I am not even kidding, I wanted to make a post earlier and someone came up with the similar topic. He definitely did.
Sep 5, 2017 I'm clearly joking, but the rest was well thought out. And it's completely possible he's on something again
Sep 5, 2017 You guys are over analyzing. He was in his 30s during his hiatus, he's now in his mid 40s. Of course he won't be releasing as much stuff the older he gets. His music has been trash these days but that doesn't mean the dude is back on drugs. I've watched clips from his recent shows and he looks way more healthy than he did before he went on hiatus back in the mid 2000s. Back then he looked like a f---in zombie. He's in his freakin 40s now and he's jumping around on stage and s---. He grew a beard and gained a few pounds? So what lol, dude been kicking it back and chilling out of the spotlight for a bit. God Eminem fans can be so obsessed at times.
Sep 5, 2017 I think if we apply Occam's razor to this, laziness is more likely than drugs. I think we'd definitely know more about the situation by this point if relapsing happened. The simpler explanation should be assumed in the absence of more data. Still, however you interpret it, the raw info in the original post is concerning lol
