Are you also saying their individual albums are trash? Or just the wu tang albums are trash?

Just curious because some of their early solo albums are good. I really loved Tical, Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, and ODB's Return to the 36 Chambers.

Also, Gravediggaz' first album is heavily slept on. You gotta be in the right mood for that one though. It's depressing and psychotic as f---. RZA was a part of this group. And the first m--- and Red album Blackout! was a good album too.

But I hear where you're coming from though. I'm an old head (go easy on me!) and was a teenager when Wu Tang ran the whole hip hop world so my nostalgia will skew my opinions on this topic. I honestly don't feel like the albums I listed above are corny but most of the stuff that came afterwards did fall off a cliff, quality wise.

I guess the big thing is, it was just a different era. When wu tang ruled the world, the way you're calling them corny now is the same way my generation called a lot of the 80s and early 90s rap corny (minus the obvious classics). In 10-15 years, the next generation of fans will call a lot of the current rap corny too. It all comes in cycles I guess lol.

But if you haven't checked out the albums I mentioned above, they're worth a listen if you have time. There is very little karate and chess lyrics lol. They're mostly about selling drugs, smoking weed, sniffing coke, f---ing skanks, while ghostface has a few emotional songs. Plus, these albums have some of the most iconic beats ever. I doubt they'll change your opinion on wu tang, but you might find a few good songs to throw in your rotation.
