Im planning on splurging on a new car within the next few years. I got a really nice new job. Ive even considered a huracan. What do yall think I should get:

    Huracan
    Equus Bass
    McLaran
Or a demon and something else

Demon. Probably the only car on that list that can be a daily driver (if that’s your intention). Besides, the maintenance for a Huracan or McLaran is crazy expensive. But hey if you got the money go for it!

Id still have my Camaro for a daily driver, and Im considering selling it to my boy and buying a trackhawk. So that front will be covered. Looking for a really fun car now.

And as long as you take care of a supercar the maintenance isnt terrible. Ive seen people who owned them give a breakdown on their yearly maintenance and its not too bad. Plus you can get warrenties at dealerships for anything mechanical

Trackhawk would be badass. And yes, if you take care of a supercar they will be ok. But their is an amount of uncertainty that comes with them. Have you thought about a cool classic car?

I know I love them. f---ing powerful cars.

Yeah thats on the horizon for a little while out. I was going to get a junk 69 Challenger and fix it up myself with some help from a buddy who owns a repair shop. Its been a dream of mine for a while. I want to explore the possibilitynof putting a Hemi from a hellcat in it, and making it my own car. Not sure about the sizing though or anything like that yet. But all of that may come down the line. Or if I get the Demon I may do it sooner. All of this is still tbd.

Just having a 69 and a 18 challenger would be pretty sexy though

I definitely think that is the main issue. It's such a badass looking car. They made it look like a sports car, but drive like a f---ing turtle. I definitely would have thought about getting one a few years ago when I was in the market for a new car. I went with a 2011 Kia Optima SX instead and I love it so far.

They're not THAT slow, quicker than most cars but obviously some are faster. It's not all about straight line speed anyway, a BRZ/FRS/GT86 will outpace most 'affordable' cars on a track or on a backroad.

Sizing won’t be an issue. I saw a dude put a Viper engine in a 69 charger so you should be good.

Personally I mainly care about straight line speed. When I race my camaro I usually only do it at lights or down highways. I dont imagine myself every really racing it like that, so I only need to be able to burn people in a straight line.

P.s. Ive never lost a race :yunggang:

It’s one of my favorite body styles. Plus the handling isn’t bad. I’d go for a cobra but they’ve all been gutted. It has 305hp stock, so i figure with a few good mods i can get 400 no problem. Plus the normal gt’s of that era only make like 260-275.

I’d go for a newer car but I’m a college student who isn’t necessarily strapped with cash .

Nah thats not a bad car, I wont hate. I mainly hate new mustangs because people get them thinking they drive some supercar and I smoke them in a race in my 7 year old camaro. I dont like mustangs for the majority of the owners if that makes sense.

    Whats your dream car?

One of my best memories in my camaro was I was at ocean city with my boys and my boys and I were cruising down the highway blasting the champions league anthem. People were dying.

(I have a 12 speaker super-sound system in my car so it was loud and glorious)

I feel you. As a mustang owner, i hate most mustang owners.

Dream car? That’s tough man. I’ll get back to you.

This, I feel like most people who bag on the BRZ for being so slow have never actually driven one, they look at the 200hp and compare it to other "fast cars".

Obviously i'm not beating even a mustang off the line (stock anyways), but at 2700 pounds the car "feels" fast enough and is a ton of fun to drive.

Another thing that makes it a lot of fun is that I can rev through the gears driving around town without worrying about getting a speeding ticket hahah.
