It's better not to be born, but since you're already here, enjoy what you can. Just don't reproduce and contribute to this charade.

At one point I was diagnosed with “severe clinic depression with psychotic episodes” they gave me Anti-depressants and ad-hd meds too. And I saw a counselor, she helped a lot because she wasn’t one of those stuck up prudes that gets mad if you answer with I don’t know. Honestly I never noticed a difference with the meds, but everyone around me said they could tell I was much better and much happier on them. But like i said, I didn’t notice and isn’t that the point? Anyways, counselors or psychiatrists can help if you get a good one.
Also writing and going out in the mountains and hiking trails and stuff like that helped me out a lot, might be worth trying.

It’s great you had a patient counselor. Had taken me years to find the right fit.

    Are you medicated now?

Patients tell me their family notice differences whilst medicated. It’s a slippery slope. They want the best and at times convince themselves drugs are a cure all. They want a “normal” you. Which has the patient frustrated and/or playing a role to satisfy everyone. Drugs don’t work alone. Takes other means of therapy for those with serious issues.

You know that’s the thing bout being on meds. Many cease taking thinking they improved on their own (without therapy) and chuck the meds. I’ve patients on lithium going cold turkey which obviously leads to manic bipolar episodes. It adds to the bipolar stigma that all are crazy smh

No I don’t take any medication anymore. Now i just write and go adventuring. I was on Celexe and I didn’t quit cold turkey I stopped it slowly. Are you a counselor/psychiatrist? My mom just finished going back to college and just graduated med school to be a psychiatrist.

Yeah I was shocked when she said she was going back to college. She already had her bachelors and was a Sign Language Interpreter.
She originally went to be a nurse but she had to pick up a second minor or something like that and it was sign language and she ended up switching it to her major and dropping nursing. Or however that works, I didn’t go to college, never saw a need to, I’m a Foreman building refinery plants and compressor stations. But I’m super proud of her.
That’s awesome, RN is the big paid nurse right?

Incredible. Clearly loves her work. Admirable.

Salary isn’t too bad but it’s helping people that’s rewarding. Then again there are many lucrative opportunities available by attaining a Masters degree. Returning to school in the new year to do just that. Plan is to practice as a nurse practitioner.

Honestly, Horror films help with my depression and anxiety...lol

sounds weird I know, but different stuff helps different folks. Even music and making music helps
