Oct 19, 2018 Tbh one of my gripes is just that some of the "jump scares" that they tried to do fell flat, some worked dont get me wrong, especially when the tension is being built. Some of the transitions felt like a 2001 movie lol n they said they had worked hard at not forcing those in i was like wtf? Some of thar s--- forced af Some of the "comedic relief" was f---ing meh. Some of that s--- fell flat for me where with something like Peele's Get Out comedic relief was excecuted almost perfectly One kid in there tho is f---ing hilarious. And ill give them that, lil dude was one of my favorite characters lmao Theres more i could probably b---- about but i only seen it once, so i aint gonna be too harsh until i watch it atleast a couple more times
Oct 19, 2018 Oh definitely The mask is f---ing legit Score is fire and a bit different but refreshing Some of the characters play their role very well, whether its making you hate them or like them etc The suspense factor kinda legit as f--- too for once in a long time, they hold shots longer than you would assume they would, similar to the longer simple shots in the OG Theres definitely a couple jarring jump camera cuts but meh i can get over it, they successfully modernized this s---. It feels like the same world, to me atleast. I dont wanna spoil s--- tbh lmao

Ehhh 2. f--- it H2 81 gets the boot, i think n i think warlock mightve been my favorite myers actor as a kid lmao This felt like 78 myers to me but older, Also without really spoiling The background lighting was legit and calculated. You would say like... see him walking in between houses via a shadow n so i loved the way they played with the lighting, very 78'
Oct 19, 2018 Honestly this is getting me excited. I thought 4 was the closest we got to 1 and I liked that one. So if this is even better, I'm glad. Also H20 is good but pretttty boring for the 1st hour
Oct 19, 2018 Juat hope your theater isnt full of 12 year old c---- and you should have a good time. H20 probably bottom tier for me tbh, even tho i liked the movie, the masks debacle was a big deal for me, big enough to just toss it aside tbh lmao. Granted h4 used two diff masks (on accident tho) and they both looked fine (including the unpainted kirk) compared to the s-----y h20 KNB and CGI. The Winston mask was dope but the others are literally trash tier U seeing it today btw?
Oct 19, 2018 It doesnt show here before nov 1st But I'm gonna watch 1 on halloween so following it up w the new one! H4 is really just a 'remake' of 1 w jamie being laurie but I dunno I just want haddonfield/suburbs w kids running around in costumes, jack o lanterns... etc. H20 was just a s-----y highschool movie mostly lol. Except the laurie parts. 5 was just.. useless and dont get me started on the s-----y 'thorn' stuff 3 was great btw! Watched 2 few nights ago and its okay I guess.. love the music from that one. Ressurection and the zombie ones (esp 2) shouldn't excist at all. Really lookin forward to this one
