    Just booked an airbnb for my first week there. $215 for a week in the Condesa neighborhood which is sposed to have a cool nightlife/be close to some cool s---. Private studio in a complex with some other units so might be able to meet some cool peeps too. Will probably move onto a hostel or something cheaper after that even though $215 is a f---ing steal compared to staying anywhere in the US. You'd pay about that much to stay in a motel for three days in bumfuck wyoming.

    All jokes aside, I live in one of the most recreational, wild, beautiful (wildfires cant stop this) areas in these hur' United states. Nvm me carry on, trip sounds solid so far. Safe travels m8.

    Thanks man! Also, I've only been through the s--- parts of Wyoming in the southern part of the state. I've heard the northwestern corner is beautiful.

    Heading out in 10 days, I got most of everything I need like a travel backpack and lock for hostels and s--- like that but hit me with any last minute recs and tips if you got any. Also of anywhere to go between Mexico City and the Yucatan of course.

    Some of my friends are gonna be in Tulum around the 23rd so I think I'm gonna stay in Mexico City til then then fly over and meet them there and then mosey my way back to MC by bus n then fly home from there.

    Lol my grandparents are terrified that I’m going to Mexico cuz they watch cnn and msnbc all day and only hear about heads being found in garbage bags and journalists murdered by the cartel.

    That being said is that worth watching? I only ever saw season 1 of narcos.

    I love Narcos. The first season is the best, but I don't know how you didn't watch at least the 2nd season to see the Escobar storyline end. The 3rd season is Cali cartel which was good, but not as good as the Escobar seasons. The Mexico one was really good too, it's a prequel since they basically started the main drug trade. If you didn't like the first season you won't like the rest.

    I liked the first season quite a bit—I watched like three eps of season 2 I think and just never finished it, don’t think there was any particular reason why. It didn’t grip me as much as season 1 (at least those first few eps) but was still entertaining. Ima get back to it at some point (but maybe after my trip).

    Have fun man, I’ve been to Mexico 3 times but it was always a cruise and only ever to Cozumel, went to the Cayman Islands once too. So I don’t know any of the good stuff around MC and junk, but I know the Mayan ruins are amazing I went to some around Cozumel once.
