Jun 4, 2019 Best thug project by a long shot. Always thought he was overrated until this. But I really, really enjoy BTG. I've listened to it three times in the last two days and I still really enjoy it. 8/10
Jun 4, 2019 One of thugs few 10/10 projects. Man trully already has a goat discog. Literally every song on this should of been a hit.
Jun 5, 2019 Beautiful Thugger Girls gets a 8.5 based on 10 ratings. Next up... Frank Ocean's Blonde @RateThisAlbum
Jun 5, 2019 Struggled chosing either this or Channel Orange, but after that, Blonde just blows CO out of the water after a few relistens. Features Frank's most creative work, like Ivy, Pink + White, Seigfried, and Self Control. Deserves that 9.5.
Jun 6, 2019 I thought Blonde was a worthy but lesser follow-up to Channel Orange in the first month after it dropped, but it's done nothing but grow in my estimation in the years since. It's a beautiful, profoundly sad album that is the absolute best showcase of Frank Ocean as THE song writer of our time. 9.5/10 And f--- anybody who thinks Nikes is a lesser track.
Jun 6, 2019 I kinda feel the opposite to @Joshua Smoses I loved Blonde when it dropped and ranked it above Channel Orange at the time, but I found myself listening to it less and less over time and I almost never revisit it now. It’s still a beautiful album and I like it a lot, but it just didn’t have the longevity of his previous projects to me. This sounds kinda negative but I do like the album and it’s still an 8/10
Jun 6, 2019 10/10 One of the most impactful pieces of music I've ever listened to on a personal note, really defined my year in 2016. The wait for this was agonizing, Frank was thought to be a missing man, adding insult to injury was that hilarious stair-building promo he did for the equally brilliant Endless. I could tell from the skeketon of that project we were in for something special once Blonde came around. Once Nikes hit, you were packing your bags for an adventure into the surreal world of Frank Ocean. Frank's writing has always been cryptic and equally descriptive, he combined that aptitude with a avant-garde approach to vocal pitch changes and ambient atmospheres, even abandoning basic song structures to give us something unique without it being overly complex. Each track realized it's purpose; they're personal & equally engaging, you still won't be able to understand the enigma that is Frank Ocean, but he humanized himself just enough to reach a cordial appreciation to his thoughts. No other contemporary R&B/Pop album sounds like this, few were brave enough to ever venture with their range the same way Frank did on Blonde. To me, this is one of the defining 3 albums of this decade.
Jun 6, 2019 I will not hesitate to say that this is my favourite album of all time. 10/10 and not much more needs to be said that hasn't been said already by my peers above me.
Jun 8, 2019 im gonna throw a 10/10 this albums way this is one of the most excellent albums of the decade, and is one of the most important albums of the streaming era frank's songwriting is so d--- beautiful and its only made better by his gorgeous vocals definitely one of my favourites + endless Favourite songs: Self Control, Nights, White Ferrari, Close To You, Nikes
Jun 10, 2019 yea ill give this one a 10/10 too this is the most fully realized version of travis scott, the best representation of him as an artist one of my all time favourite albums, i like it a lot, a whole lot, that's the facts Favourite songs: Oh My Dis Side, 3500, Nightcrawler, Impossible, I Can Tell, 90210
Jun 10, 2019 Never understood why people consider this to be Travis's crowning achievement. From Future to 2 Chainz to Keef to Quavo, every single feature annihilates Travis on his own songs and pretty much all of the solo travis songs are dogshit. Though there are some great tracks on here, almost none of it is due to Travis's contributions—it's the guests and production that make them good. You can't even really argue for him being a good curator here because the album flows poorly as well. 5/10 21 Savage Outside Verse > Astro > DB4R > Rodeo > The Rest of Birds
Jun 10, 2019 It has its moments and some dope features but I'm not sure it if speaks in favor of Scott that Kanye was one of the worst things on this album. Overall I'm just not a fan of Travis Scott. Some songs where he doesn't use that high pitched voice and actually raps are cool, but other than that it sounds like he's trying to make a trap version of 808 heartbreak and for me it just doesn't work. But overall its not that bad. Song w Future and 2 Chainz is dope af btw. Other random thought; does quavo still gets asked for features? What a boring one trick pony lol 6/10 I guess. Sorry thy , squiddy and xmipod
