His rep took a small hit after Everton superseded him in the Copa America, but he's still a fantastic prospect and at least the club will get its money's worth if suitors start to circle around for Neres.

Tag me when Edson Alvarez gets his first minutes, can't wait to follow his journey there!

Chelsea been looking great, idk what happened vs United the other day--definitely didn't deserve to lose by that scoreline.

Liverpool been uncharacteristically imprecise, the midfield has been chasing shadows all day. Their defensive high line has been getting stretched like spandex, Pulisic & Pedro are having a field day finding those holes.

Against united they were pretty solid its just every single chance Manu had was a goal and every chance they had just... wasn't sadly. 4-0 was definitely not a display of how the match went..not saying manchester didn't deserve it but 4-0.. lol.

Glad chelsea at least made a goal now!

Not a fan of either team but happier to see Liverpool lift the cup. Even if they did cost me £20 on a few bets.

    @Alpha

Great start to the season, this is why I maintained my cool during preseason, they looked so disinterested playing those games (no excuses for that Atletico debacle though).

Today was a more focused team, Bale looked unfazed from the controversy, his touches looked very sharp (I sort of know how the outlier of his season will come to be but boy it's always a delight to see him when he's playing well).

Zidane managed the game very well after we went down to 10, sending in Isco for some added ball security and Lord Vasquez to plug in some holes on that right side. Kroos scored a beauty and LV's goal was vintage Madrid, hope to see some other players like Jovic & James get some minutes at home. Lol at Barca too.

City-Spurs game is shaping up for a dramatic close, just as I was typing this City missed a million chances and Spurs equalized off a corner.

Such a delight watching KDB & B.Silva play on that side. Keep your eyes on Ndombele this season, he's a tremendous player capable of deep progressions that are so useful in that key 2nd phase of possession.

    Still anyone's game!

Exactly my thoughts. Yea I'm not going to say much yet about Bale either.. lol.

Modric needs the CR7 treatment (where he gets rested more often in order to be fully ready for the crucial matches and yes I'd love to see James get more minutes and would love to see him start over Modric in some matches. I really hope he stays.)

Jovic deserves more minutes too as well.
& What's with everyone hyping up Lucas Vasquez like that? lol
Not surprised to see Barcelona drop points already. I think they'll suffer a lot this season. Too early to make any judgments.
Great way to start the season. nonetheless.

If Jovic is not gonna start in the 1s eleven soon, I'm gonna be so mad. He's a top world class striker.
Real Madrid looked solid without Hazard while Barcelona looked like s--- without Messi. Is gonna be a fun season in primera division.

Aduriz's goal from yesterday was amazing. This guy is 38 years old and it was his first and only touch during the game.

    VAR is f---in s---

Even if I agree technically it was hand balls

Takes away the passion and fluency of football. It’s clinical, like some sort of maths test these days. No point celebrating anymore.

I can’t stand VAR. Could be the end of football.

Don't get me wrong I respect your opinion and I see your point, but for me VAR is the thing that could save football. I look at it like this, it gives the opportunity for a game to be fair played let alone in the champions league or world cup where big, big teams play against small a--- teams and the referee always give that small edge to the big team or home team and also it fixes the human mistakes that referees do that can sometimes be crucial to a whole team season. I mean you play 38 games during a season and than you go play a qualifier for Champions League group stages just to lose to a human mistake? Doesn't seem fair. Last and not least it's become way harder if not impossible to fix games at big stages.

Tell me you wouldn't love VAR to be an option during this game. It just hurts my f---ing mind how stupid this can be.

    Or this

How I see it, let the talent and the power of your team be the only thing that counts in a football game. No referees mistakes, no advantages from them for variable reasons, no nothing. I've been a football fan for 20+ years and VAR literally makes me love the game even more.
