I wouldn’t want to be in Dallas’ position lol. It’s pretty much a lose-lose situation, unless you sign both and win a championship. Or at least get to multiple conference titles. Like, if you sign Zeke, it’s gonna be way too high regardless of where it comes in at just because RB is so devalued these days like you said. Dak will get signed no doubt in my mind, it really all depends on the structure, but if it’s a player friendly deal then you better pray he ups his game or y’all are screwed. Consistent seasons ranging from 7-9 to maybe 10-6 will just leave the franchise in NFL purgatory.

I was just thinking how dope it must be to live on the west coast and wake up to football, and not have to go into work/school dead tired the next day because of prime time games

If Dak’s contract is structured similar to how Carr’s contract was structured in Oakland, I’d at least be ok. Not happy but I could get over it. It provides the team with at least some sort of safety net/out clause after X amount of years. I highly doubt that’s going to be the case though. Doubling down on Dak essentially means we’re going to have to be flawless on drafting these upcoming years. He’s going to need a lot of help & if we pay him, Zeke, & Cooper, there’s going to be a lot of defensive players on their way out.

Zeke, I have a glimmer of hope about since we did let Demarco Murray walk after that great season not too long ago. Jerry Jones has made comments recently about not needing a league leading rusher to win a super bowl. I’m glad he’s #woke at least about this. I feel like Zeke will eventually cave & take something in the $10-13M range which is still too high for me but cowboys will take it thinking it’s a “bargain.”

What sucks about all of this is teams are so warped on winning now because the NFL is a money business. The more you win, the more money the franchise brings in. Also, as a GM/coach, you want to win in the short term because that’s what secures your job. So, of course a GM/coach is going to sign off on paying a QB like Dak for $30-40M. He’s going to keep the team competitive. He gives you a chance to make the playoffs—maybe even win a playoff game! That’s how head coaches like Marvin Lewis & Jason Garrett keep their jobs for so d--- long. They cling onto QBs that keep the team at least competitive: make playoffs, playoff win here & there etc. That keeps fans optimistic which means money continues to flow into the franchise & that keeps the owners happy. Winning the Super Bowl is just a + if it happens.

What do you think needs to happen for Garrett to keep his job after this year? And how do you like the new OC? Moore was just playing like 2 years ago wasn’t he?

I imagine Garrett is safe as long as we get close to making playoffs. If we do make playoffs, he’s totally safe. I have no idea what to expect from Moore. It made little sense to me why we fired Linehan & then basically hired his assistant who’s been learning under him. It worries me that nothing is really going to change.

f--- Jay tbh, I've been saying he's a d-ck for completely abandoning a guy who saved/pushed his career forward multiple times, but no one wanted to hear it cause it was Ye. All he cares about is himself it seems. My distaste of Reid stems from him not liking Malcolm Jenkins, who himself goes above and beyond doing things for injustices, just in a different way than Reid. Reid's "my way or the highway" attitude pisses me off. But agreed f--- Jay.

raiders pre-season football. could take their entire team in a pre-season only fantasy football league, and you'd go undefeated. looking like super bowl or bust

^ @Marshall III not likely. its very unusual for a team to win it all back to back. the last time it happened was the early 2000's. that's d--- near twenty years ago

Lol Tom Brady is the greatest of all time and he’s more hungry this year then ever. He’s in his best shape. The whole team is dominating.

Yeah but it’s the Patriots Timmy lol. Would not surprise any football fan if they won it all again.

In other news, a recent study came out that shows sacks & QB pressures are more so influenced by QBs than O-Lines. So next time you want to blame the O-Line for your QB being sacked/pressured too much—might want to think twice.

Winovich was a f---ing steal. Idk why teams didn’t have him as a first round talent.

The hype around him is so big right now. Same as Meyers (undrafted rookie WR). Meyers is gonna be their next big slot receiver, guaranteed.

Worth picking off waivers for fantasy football before the year starts? Or give it a few weeks into season. Brady does seem to be better throwing shorter passes to slot receivers. Also one more question to a big pats fan, what do you think about Josh Gordon? Do you think he’ll be their starter by week 2-3? He went in the last round in a draft last night and I was so pissed because a guy a few picks ahead of me took him.
