Jan 7, 2018 During Kanye West and Pusha T's live performance of "Runaway" at the 2010 VMAs, Kanye used several samples throughout it. I've searched around, but haven't been able to find them anywhere. Here are all of the samples I'm aware of... "Look at ya" which I believe is from Rick James' live performance of "Mary Jane". I believe "Ladies and gentlemen" and "I wanna show you all how you look like beautiful stars tonight" were from the same live performance of Rick James, as well? I've also heard that there's a sample in Runaway that says "Hey, hey, hey". It's been a little while since I last heard the live Runaway, so I can't actually remember where this plays, but of course I'd need it, too. Also I believe he sampled a drum beat from Expo '83 by The Backyard Heavies? Again, I'm not sure where this plays, but I'll need it. I also heard that there's a sample from James Brown's "Introduction to Star Time", but I'm not sure what the sample from this one is. If anyone has these samples, it would be very much appreciated if you could share them with me. I really love the sound of Kanye's live Runaway, more than I do the other versions, so I'm trying my best to recreate the sound of the live version except with really high quality like the album version and such. Also, if I'm forgetting any samples, let me know. And if you know the names and the placements in the performance of the other samples I mentioned, please inform me of them. Thanks in advance.
Jan 9, 2018 Thanks so much! It's in great quality; this will help me out a ton. Still, let me know when you have the finished version. ; - )
