Aug 22, 2019 After Rick left it became even more interesting! Can't wait for season 10, the walking dead is still my favorite tv show idgaf, I LOVE IT
Aug 22, 2019 I stopped watching when that thing happened with Carl (don’t want to spoil it). That’s not the reason I stopped watching but what season was that so I can pick up again? Like season 7 or 8 or something?
Aug 22, 2019 I get your frustration n s---, but belive me, things get way better later... Season 9 is better than anything else besides season 1-2
Aug 22, 2019 Die hard fans for sure... I loved seasons 1-3, 4 was soooo boring, 5 was great, 6-8 were just meh, but 9 really was different, new showrunners did a great job
Aug 22, 2019 Yeah, season 4 was slow, seasons 6-8 were soooo slow, but 9... Man, that's like a breath of fresh air, I'm sure you're gonna love it There's a lot going on, probably more than in seasons 6-8 together
Aug 22, 2019 That’s awesome to hear. I kind of watched seasons 6-8 with my girl but i didn’t follow it super closely cause it was just so d--- slow and boring and repetitive. Plus the zombies became an afterthought in those seasons. It’s almost like they didn’t impact the world at all when in reality the zombies should always be a main character every season. I’ll add season 9 to my watchlist and check it out. Thanks!
Aug 19, 2021 Search bar sucks I feel like there was an official walking dead thread for the whole show. Either way just seen it's on its last season mind blowing there's no discussion for it? One of my favorite hobbies was watching everyone s--- on this show. Any ideas how it ends?
Aug 19, 2021 Yeah the xenforo search engine is pretty bad cuz I know there was a larger thread somewhere. Are they actually ending it? I stopped watching sometime in season 8 I think. I always thought it was weird how people said it fell off after season 3 when imo it didn't really find its stride or get good until Season 4. The pilot is great as are a few more eps in the first three seasons and the potential was always there but the pacing of it was so bad and there was so much filler. I really enjoyed Season 4-7ish but sometime in season 8 I lost interest cuz I felt like it started fading back into how spotty the first 3 seasons were.
Aug 19, 2021 Honestly never got into the show I know there's lots of s--- happening but some how felt everything was just a constant cycle of the same s--- and even less focus on the zombies but I am very curious to show how the shows going to end would love if they did a big f--- you and had that very prediction Rick wakes up from the coma ending lol
Aug 19, 2021 I feel you, it def gets repetitive like that which is partially why I quit cuz at that point I was just like do I even really care anymore? lol. The reason why I liked season 4-7 is bc I felt like they finally figured out how to balance zombie horror/action set pieces with actually developing the characters and making you care about them. I love zombie action sequences but I'm not gonna watch 11 seasons of a show that's just that lmao. I love post-apocalyptic stuff, and once you have these people who accept that this is the world they have to live it gets really interesting to me. Like how they work to get by and to rebuild humanity
Aug 19, 2021 I watched every episode, every season last year when the Pandemic hit and we were forced to stay home. I had so much free time I didn't know what to do with it, so I needed a show that had plenty seasons to watch. Obviously The Walking Dead was it. I thought I was going to hate it, since I'm not a big fan of the whole zombies s--- but I really enjoyed it. I'm anxiously waiting for the new season now!. Although, one thing that has always bothered me is... how deep into the 10th season they still haven't bothered to come up with an explanation of how the f--- everything went to s---. How did it all start? Who's responsible?. It pisses me off. It's something I loved in "Lost" for example. Every now and then they would give little bits of information and hits about what was really going on and how they ended up in that Island, but still keep the big mysteries around it until the very end of the Show. In TWD they sort of started to develop that part of the story in the second or third season (if I'm not mistaken), and then dropped it and never provided a full explanation. Unless I missed something. Also... will this be the FINAL season? I didn't know that. d---!
Aug 21, 2021 I quit watching the show at the same time. Season 8 I think it was. The zombies basically became a joke. Too much human drama and repetitiveness. They find a nice place to stay, human drama happens, place gets destroyed, find another place. Repeat. I remember thinking when are they gonna find a f---ing cure or start looking for one? The plot would become way more interesting. But the show just dragged on with useless drama and crying. I might pick it up again after @Ricky comments on season 9.
