No rapper will ever sell more than Eminem so why would he care?

Also crazy to think what kind of numbers he’ll get after he dies

*Look at remember the name, great producer, great guests and 50 Cent. It's not that easy

All jokes aside now, a flop ? how ? literally all songs bellow Remember the name on Ed's album don't come close to half a listeners on Spotify only the joint with Dave has 44 mil. The rest 23, 24 and so on. Don't get me wrong the song is not that good, I mean it's cool for one listening, two maybe but it ain't going on repeat on my playlists. But still, a flop? that's a harsh when you look strictly at the numbers, which when deciding if it's a flop or not counts the most.

Ok maybe not a flop, but 10 years ago storch em and 50z not to mention a huge star like ed s--- would.be everywhere. I havent even heard it on the radio or anyone talking about it. Of course it will get streams because its em and ed but nothing like it warrants.

    Because its a s-----y song

And to answer OP no Eminem is never going Number 1 again. If he couldn’t do it in 2017 during the height of Ed Sheeran then it won’t happen.

Success of a single is about hitting what the general vibe of the time is about rather than making a good song. Eminem cannot have that big of a single anymore because the time changed.

Well, Eminem obviously doesn't care about single. He never really did actually. Back in his prime days, label wanted him to do songs such as Real Slim Shady after seeing how successful My Name Is was. Em was never really about singles he was always about albums if u know what I mean. At this point, he even care less about singles. If that wasn't the case he wouldn't release Walk on Water beatless as a first single, he'd push Believe from Revival and actually he'd use more trap beats.

Btw, I gotta say Em is not as popular as he was back in the days basically because his fanbase is not formed of the young people who constantly listenin' few songs repeatedly and got nothing but the free time to play music. He has a older fanbase.

Also, his music is not exactly what people like today, with Kamikaze he used beats people love nowadays (trap or at least trapish beats) but he still raps too much, if he put some singing and less rapping in a song to make it easy to sing along, he can still have a no 1 single. Let's be real, as dope and impressive Em is today, songs like Lucky You is hard to rap along. The Real Slim Shady, Without Me, Lose Yourself, even LTWYL were all pretty easy to rap and sing along. He just needs to do a simple catchy song over a hard bass hitting trap beat which he seems to have no intentions of doing...

Revival sounds like a B-Sides album. I'd love to know what the f--- went on with that whole project. Was it a contractual obligation or something?

you actually have to pay the radios for them to play your s--- I guess. Sure, there was smh like that. Who really listens to radio anyway tho. All that matters is sales and streams. And even the sales are not there anymore lol.

Btw only 5 songs on Ed's album has more streams than Remember The Name, few of them were pushed as singles and actually get the attention and few of them are probably just had good streams because as you go down on a tracklist, streams always are going down too. It's always the case except the songs which released before as singles.

Yeah but it's not 10 years ago. Radio doesn't matter when streams exist. Why would the majority of people wait for songs to come on a radio when they can control it at their fingertips?

Nobody is waiting for a song to come.on the radio, it's just a thing to throw on when your driving if you have an older car. My point is most radio stations only play the most popular trending music and eminem is rarely one of them.

Its a natural for things to decline : age , popularity, stocks, fate of a company, empires and Artists. Eminem is an artist in this case. He had 3 major peaks: original 1999-2003 era, 2010 and kamikaze. That’s success enough for me.

Both albums are 10/10 IMO but I would give the nod to MMLP.. that album contains the absolute best Eminem verses ever laid down on a track. Up in Smoke Tour was also an incredible experience.

    The MMLP made Eminem.
