Oct 13, 2019 #JUSTICEFORFATTODD f--- yall I love that sociopathic GOAT, creepiest character of all time
Oct 13, 2019 I was hoping for a Skyler/Walt Jr cameo and possibly a connection to Better Call Saul. Overall, it was a cool little epilogue. I think people’s expectations shot through the roof when they said movie. But if it takes place after Breaking Bad, there’s only but so many places they can go.
Oct 13, 2019 Funny that people are hating on having so much Todd. He was the best part of the movie imo. Was the movie necessary? No Was it enjoyable? Yes It was actually really well shot and paced perfectly. Great performances all around but it does nothing for the breaking bad universe, neither good or bad. Just kind of there. I think they missed an opportunity to really expand on the post breaking bad world.
Oct 13, 2019 That’s why I felt it’s the perfect epilogue. Though one theory I have is that this movie was made as a way to catch us up to where Jesse is if he and Saul do converge at some point during the parts of BCS that take place post-Walt dying.
Oct 13, 2019 The movie was really good but I don't know if it was a story worth telling..... Breaking Bad had a ambiguous ending and so did this.
Oct 13, 2019 I like this theory... BCS S5 is due to be the last one isn't it? I'd flip my s--- if Saul and Jessie somehow link up in Spoiler Alaska and we get a Jessie series in the future. Honestly, now you've said this it does really feel like they are moving a pawn for the next big move.
Oct 13, 2019 It wasn't needed but it certainly wasn't bad, which something unneeded so easily can be. I won't watch it again but it was pretty good. I probably should have re-watched at least the last season beforehand as I forgot so much about what happened so I was a bit confused for a while.
Oct 13, 2019 I thought the movie was great. It definitely felt like a Breaking Bad movie, for the most part. Vince Gilligan is obviously a great writer and director and has a great mind for creating tv and film but he only wrote 14 episodes of BB out of 60+. Even though Vince was the brain behind the entire running of the show, it benefited greatly by having a great team of writers and directors who were also by his side making some great television moments, I really felt their absence from this project. Heavily relied on newly made flashbacks with Fat Todd taking up a lot of the screen, figuratively and physically. I was very satisfied with the Walt flashback, especially when it was back when he was still a good person. It really felt like watching a clip from season 1 or 2 when he really cared and had high hopes for Jesse by convincing him to go to college and make something of his life rather than being a d--- dealer. Kudos to Bryan Cranston, he's such a phenomenal actor, he really slipped back into the season 1 and 2 version of Walter, the facial expressions, his mannerisms, he didn't miss a beat, especially when he got rid of those when his character started becoming darker and his expressions, mannerisms and body language were entirely different. R.I.P. Robert Forster. He was fantastic in this and I'm glad he got a good bit of screen time. I had a great time watching this movie and I felt it was a great send of for Jesse. Aaron Paul's acting was phenomenal as it always has been when playing this character. But as long as they know that they have now closed Breaking Bad and that story for good and don't feel like making another movie or series just for the sake of it then I am happy. Great movie, great acting and a great close to arguably the best television show of all time. Would give this a solid 8/10 and will definitely give it another watch in the next few days.
Oct 13, 2019 It was @Big Cuntry. Mods have access to everyone’s accounts which is f---ing ridiculous. Pretty boring movie tbh. 3/10
Oct 14, 2019 It's obvious you don't know s--- about Cinema if you're serious with that. In that case, walter was dead but he might not have been after all he was just shot for few seconds and maybe just passed off etc
Oct 14, 2019 Not sure about it. I think 2 movies would be better. First one with more police and more fear that they would catch him and the second one could be this movie. But it wasnt bad. I think my problem with movies nowadays is that i'm more used to series now, where it builds the whole s--- over several seasons
Oct 15, 2019 Thoughts: Vince is incredible as always. Interesting to see what he can do from a BB "movie" perspective. Selfishly, I would've rather seen a 6 part mini-series. I'm glad Todd was a major presence. I always felt like his character was rushed and this helps. I always wanted the last season of BCS to include Jesse somehow, but this kinda ruins all of that. Jesse looked awful in the Walt scene. Was hoping for a few more cameos but they would've felt forced. Loved it.
