Dec 11, 2019 Lookin' forward to this. Lil Wayne is so much valuable for me since 2010s because after that so many Wayne alike trappers came out that are all sounding alike and bad.

Dec 11, 2019 I'm sure he writes here and there, but he basically freestyles, then when he gets a good bar, he keeps the bar in and keeps going. Then he'll start over and re-rap what he liked from the freestyle, then rinse and repeat

Dec 11, 2019 right. ima huge Jay fan and how hes described it and studio videos I see he just finds a beat and mumbles a flow to it and lets words come here and there, its writing....he just doesn't write it down. said he learned to do that selling drugs, hed just think of the rhymes and recite them in his head til he remembered it, then make the next one. ive seen videos where he records 2-4 lines, then listens to the beat and thinks of some new ones. or hes told his engineer "ima leave holes in here and come back and fill them in" …..seems to be what wayne does too. wayne stopped writing after carter 2 right? seems like wayne listens to the beat thinks of a few lines lays em, then thinks of the next ones. T.I does that every now and then too. when he recorded his rose red remix on video he f----- up a few times and he said "its a little harder when I do it like this and don't write it down" biggie didn't write either. I think ppl confuse it with being completely off the top in the moment and that's not what they mean, nobody is going straight off the top and making punchlines, double entendres, rhyme patterns and flow switches on the spot like that. EM said hes done it a few times but he likes writing it down to see his ideas, he said he tried it after he saw cashis do it. Jay said when he told ppl he didn't write everyone thinks hes straight freestyling it, he said "ive inspired a generation of lazy writers" LMAO
