Definitely gonna have to listen again but overall I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised. Its probably 20 minutes too long but the guests all killed it (Black Thought, d---.) And the production makes a huge difference. I'd love to see Dre producing for other artists again.

As for Em, he's still still stuck in that god-awful constipated start-stop flow and insistence on rapping fast just for the sake of it. Theres still filler and cringe and dad-joke bars galore and he will never reach the levels he did back in the 00s. But like Kamikaze, there were a handful of moments where that old genius peaked through the blinds. Darkness is really good. A couple of other interesting ideas he explored. Its a very mixed bag but don't think I could expect anything more from Em at this point.

I don't remember who it was. But I know someone with connections to LA hip hop said that Dre was about to go on his next great run of music.

    hook is catchy as f---.

and the way he raps on it is great.

    You're with him...
    thinkin' bout me...
you said you'd hit my phone around 3

not exactly what he says but the way he raps it is my favourite part.

Lol. Stepdad hook is crazy good. Interesting how it's exactly sound like classic Em but some people hate it.

Hooks of Em are dope on the whole album. He made catchy hooks, Farewell included. It's classic Em. U don't have to like it but if you don't, you don't try to sell us the bs that you liked old Em lol. So I perfectly agree with u

So this album is basically everything people asked over the years.
    - Eminem hooks
    - Em and Dre producing the album
    - Rap features
    - No poppy/rock songs
    - Collaborations with younger artists

And it's all let down by his bs choppy, stop/start, super speed flows and awful puns.
