@JulnHT I agree with you for the most part. id include the original chloraseptic on revival list but yeah. and on kami I like nice guy a lot, I just like the abstract sound on it and his "you say you got pink eye but I think I, got just the thing why don't I, just get my Louisville slugger and f---ing swing by" and I f---ing love greatest and the song kamikaze itself. I think stepping stone was great but I skipped it a lot, it was like "okay I herd the story that's it" and this album I agree, no song is bad. I skip in too deep and never love again but theyre not bad, and depending on my mood Ill prolly listen. but idk im feeling this more than kamikaze. its a lot of different vibes, but I feel like it keeps its edge to warrant the title and inspiration. best beats hes rapped on since hes came back IMO. I don't mind the fast rapping like a lot of ppl its never f----- with the vibe for me, mostly bc he incorporates so many flow switches, and paces it differently so it keeps it fresh for me. ive always been big into MMLP2 but production did hurt it a bit. but for me SSLP MMLP TES MMLP2 Kamikaze and MTBMB are all perfect Eminem albums. and by perfect I mean theyre like time capsules, I think they accomplished what they set out to do (even MMLP2) I know ppl hate the title but it did show where he was at 13 years later as a writer, personally, and where his passion was at. but me being such a fan of battle rap, just BARS, technicality and writing ill bump MMLP2 kamikaze and MTBMB more than his original 3. now I don't like relapse, recovery and revival I f--- with a few songs, love WOW believe chloraseptic and framed (arose and castle are great but I just don't revisit them much) I know ppl hold 99-03 EM in such a high regard but I honestly don't see it compared to him now. his writing, his delivery, and arrangement in songs is levels above 99-03 EM. I don't care to hear his old basic flow, I wanna hear him switch from flow to flow, one scheme with a certain drum pattern, then switch it to another pattern, I want the sompound phrases, the inner and putter rhymes, his entendres. I want him popping s---. im happy with the album

I’m confident this album will be remembered positively from the majority a few years from now. This album actually has songs with replay value. It’s only the 2nd day so we’re really hyped now but even when the hype train dies I still feel this one won’t be considered a weak effort.

p4k is doing this for any em album so it doesnt matter. I guess some other critics will balance it somewhere around kamikaze at least.

I read several reviews last night, one of them was forbes and they bashed tf out of it. other places said "he made the same mistakes as kamikaze" idk how being number 1 in 100 countries being the highest selling rap album and setting 2 attendance records with shows for it as mistakes. and they said his "dwindling" sales.....EM was onto something when he said "all the hate I call it walk on water gate" I understand you not liking it, fine, but they say so much BS in these reviews. they make it look like he hasn't broken spotify records, attendance records and still going platinum effortlessly in these reviews. they lie so much

Step dad would be better with a better chorus. "I hate my stepdad" is very on the nose and juvenile. It's a like parody of em hating his mom songs

I like how Kamikaze and this album both have a mixtape type of feeling. Not sure if its just me who thinks that.

An album with several shorter songs seems to work good for Em.

yeah it’s definitely a mixtape type feel and they cut the songs and just go into the next song abruptly makes it feel like a non stop party with no breaks

Godzilla is one of my least fav but it's the biggest song by far on the album so, your tracklist is not really accurate.
Personally, I love the Unaccomodating song a lot, Young MA was dope as h--- on that too.
Farewell sounds straight out of prime Em to me.

Don't let the 20 songs fool you album is barely longer than Kamikaze or at least it's not really as long as the no of tracks suggests. So when I start listenin' to it from the beginning I don't even feel an urge to skip to a better song because even the worst song is pretty decent and it's not that long anyway. I love the fact that he had a Hitchcock concept like that cause the production and everything really works perfectly with all the skits and the whole concept of the album. Btw, I really do think songs sound a lot more pure and clean compared to his previous works, guess Dre was seriously involved this time. Wouldn't say content is unique but I barely care, as long as he says something in a interesting way, I'm fine with hearing the same topics being talked on songs. (Otherwise, I couldn't listen to music. I'M not one of those who will think Arose and Going Through Changes are same content wise so Arose was unnecessary lol.) I geniunely think Em released almost classics back to back. It still has a lot of time to be considered as a classic tho. I'd easily rate this album at least 9/10. Lock It Up is my fav song. Darkness might be the best song content wise and maybe even overrall. Stepdad and Farewell are my guilty pleasure songs. Oh, and with that amazing hook, Leaving Heaven has its' place in my playlist.

The forbes review was embarrassing. It literally(not kidding) begins with “halsey did nothing to deserve this”. Assuming he meant that since halsey dropped an album, eminem shouldn’t have dropped one to take attention away from her. A grown a--- man getting paid to write reviews for forbes actually wrote that.
