Mar 27, 2020 Hello guys! I just published my first full project on a confidential bandcamp and Sav liking it got me confident enough to share it with y'all. It's a 24-minutes long instrumental (experimental/electro/atmospheric?) EP called "Le Blues du Corbeau". not sure who it might interest (maybe @Ordinary Joel ?) since it's not really hip-hop, but it was kinda inspired by jpegmafia, dj shadow and madlib among other influences. it's named (and sequenced) after the classic Clouzot film Le corbeau (1943), and I humbly tried to recapture the atmosphere of the film (which is heavily sampled too) throughout. (embed player won't work for some reason) https://le-corbeau.bandcamp.com (obviously more interesting with good headphones!)
Mar 28, 2020 @Asmxdeus this feels right up your alley Zeggy this feels very reminiscent of King Krule and the nocturnal vibes I'm getting so far!
Mar 28, 2020 I'm going to prepare some green tea and summon some demons to this tonight this is amazing btw
Mar 28, 2020 Sorry for being so ignorant and thinking about myself, but that tape is great (talking about samples). I ejoyed it a lot. Solid EP.
Mar 30, 2020 Kurt’s theme and Maudit are my favs rn I really dig the whole thing, it’s experimental but not without soul. Very unique stuff!
Mar 30, 2020 Thank you. I'm really glad you dig it! I've been beatmaking for years and I knew what I wanted to do with that one. It's most probably flawed, and not for everybody, but I'm at least proud of how cohesive it is - I feel like it really has its own identity and its own atmosphere. anyway; thanks again!
