    Framed??? That barely even charted and isn’t even gold. We Made You barely went platinum which is horrible for a lead Eminem single. River is also less big than some of his his older singles. LTWYL and Not Afraid were huge however. Where’s Lose Yourself? Without Me, Real Slim Shady? The Monster as far as recent songs go was big as well.

    Contrary to popular belief, I don’t actually hate Eminem like that. I was (am?) a fan and I still listen to everything he drops, which I like to think I judge objectively.
    To clarify my post though, I was using “hit” to refer more to a sound, rather than just to mean a commercially successful song, ‘cause obviously the guy with three diamond albums is gonna win that every time, I just think that, objectively, Em has never been that guy, which is fine, not every rapper needs to be a hit maker, he exists in a different lane and his music serves a different purpose. Stan went to #1, and it’s a masterpiece, but if you played it at a party everyone would f---ing leave.

    Which ones after Rap God and maybe The Monster tho, truthfully?

    I'm an Em fan too, but the truth is he kinda lost the skill to make a big hit like he did back in the day.

    There are lots of great hits I don't (wanna) play at parties though. I more look at that as party music. Like, Rihanna - Diamonds is a huge hit but played at parties? Same as not afraid, love you lie or like u said, Stan.

    I think in our own hit battles thread we also had a lot of great hits but not so much (all of them) party music.

    That’s really what makes these battles interesting, having to pick songs that legitimately bump rather than songs that did well commercially. Fresh Air by Future didn’t chart at all afaik, but no one would deny it being a hit.

    A lot of people not understanding the rules kinda f----- up our hit battle

    Yeah I didn't understand that entirely when I did my picks for Future and it seems like you're basically the only person who did because everyone else told me conflicting things lol. I'd only watched a few minutes of a couple of the IG battles each so I wasn't clear on the rules.

    True yeah, but the rules are whatever u make them.. I think lots of people didn't know the hit battles they do and just followed instructions in the thread.

    And yeah fresh air is easily my favorite future song and can be played almost everywhere anytime

    TWIA deff is not a party hit, it's a great track, but you really thinking people play that at clubs is insane.

    Godzilla is literally 2x platinum already and have crazy streams so far so it's a hit. Em got hits on every era. The thing is that DMX gonna throw his street hits so how Em gonna respond to that. Em got way more hits overall but most of them are funny, popish or even emotional like Mockingbird, WIG & Beautiful. He can't throw TRSS or Mockingbird when X plays Party Up or Where The Hood At f.e. He can throw Lose Yourself, Till I Collapse, The Way I Am, maybe Forgot About Dre and b---- Please but then? That's why I don't think this battle will be 100% fair. track vs track wouldn't make much sense after a while. Still would be legendary

    If we're going by party songs / hits eminem shouldn't even be considered

    Regardless of whether u like them or not 80% of sean paul, pitbull and florida's catalog are party hits, more than almost every rapper we discuss on here tbh
