    Yeah, I just don’t agree. When the government is abusing a group of people & constant preaches for change go ignored, it calls for drastic action. These are people’s husbands, brothers, dads, sons etc. getting murdered by police with no repercussions. Getting funneled into a cruel criminal justice system that is set up against them. We can’t expect a group of people to continuously take this abuse & continue to be pacifist about wanting change. Their family & friends are quite literally dying.

    dude are you a cop? you always seem so invested on defending them

    if you decide to work for an unfair (to say the least) system and protect the people who run it, you should check yourself, end of story

    Of course, if only the other party would allow for black leaders to have a seat at the table and work towards changes instead of just placating them and giving lip-service, but then time and time agian not doing anything about the broken system.

    Until then riots will rage on for those unheard.

    based off history, no it wasn't. His arrest even now is a joke, third degree which means it was on accident, plus the other 3 still aren't arrested and likely won't be.

    They lost the right after a strict curfew was placed. The peaceful protesters should of went home. Come back in the morning.. they were warned. The violent protest and destruction of property must stop. The peaceful protest need to be mad at anaftia and other anarchists for using this movement as their own. It's a real shame because I've seen some powerful peaceful protest that aren't getting a voice because of the violent ones. Also the crowd above looked intimating and were trying to breach the line. I also saw stuff being thrown.

    agreed with all this. i was going to cite obama's medium post as well lol.

    and genuinely, its v interesting posters here can look at rly unfortunate s--- going down and instead of simply being like 'that should not have happened' or be slightly introspective about what moments like this truly mean and do, its suddenly 'well you need to break down a comprehensive plan to me that gives me a rationale for not supporting reckless violence.' like how about you think and play things straight. this is why liberals/the left get accused of being moralizing fascists by critics.
