Slap b--- in my neck of the woods! Glad you had a good time. That last pic of London, that's the brand of pubs I run. They need to get with the times though, they are using the wrong/old badge for their Nicholson's Pale Ale and they need to straighten their pump clips. I can't work out which pub it was though from that pic? If you were around Soho and the stained glass window in the mirrow, I'm guessing either the Three Greyhounds or the maybe the Dog & Duck?

The first picture is St Paul's Cathedral.

That was at the sugar loaf pub in London. I was working out of Croydon the rest of the week. The first day of work some kid got macheted to death at the rail station across from my office. Good times

Yeah, Croydon isn't the best place in the world. They are very proud of their Box Park though! s--- like that is way too common around zones 3/4 of London.

I'm surprised I didn't recognise the Sugarloaf, the Manager there is a good friend of mine. I was only there about a month ago.

So, the world is kinda f----- rn. People get sick, people die, and all things fun (going out, activities, bars, sports, parties etc etc) are mostly forbidden. I think that goes for every country even if their is a difference how countries handle it.

On the other hand I see a lot of people using this (intelligent) lockdown for their benifit: studying, quality time w their family, fixing s--- in their houses, gardens, reading, doing stuff they weren't able to do before because they were too busy

How is this for you? How does it all affect you, what things are u able to do now / have you picked up and what things u miss the most?

I would go insane if I wouldn't do something productive every day. I'm studying for some pretty hard exams that take a lot of preparation time and I'm trying to deepen my understanding for certain topics that really interest me as well. I also tried cooking new meals, but this phase didn't last that long lmao. I still go out for a walk by myself but don't meet anyone, so I'm missing my friends the most. Working out 2 times a week and rewatching naruto also keeps me through the day. It sucks but we will get through it. We have no other option as to live with the virus since humans are not made for long periods of social distancing.

Last part is true but the reasons we (temporarily) have a lockdown is to make sure the hospitals can handle the sick people and we don't get a situation like Italy where doctors have to choose which live to save... glad that didn't happen here and hope it never will.

Anyway yeah I thought I'd miss the bigger things but honestly, just hanging out w friends or go to a bar are very welcome right now. Dont even need big parties etc. Times like this u really do appreciate the little things in life.

Also netflix / movies a lot for me and I can focus more on my study as well. Very ironic one of the major subjects is crisismanagement lol

Good idea. Seeing as we're all from different countries, how is it going rn as far as corona and distancing rules?

    @LifeSXN

Here in Holland basically everything is open again. We never had a full lockdown tho we could go outside etc unlike in other countries. In may barbershops etc reopened, in juni bars etc and in juli basically everything is possible again except clubs. We still have 1.5 meter distance -except for sports, people under 18 and some other exceptions- but other than that there are not that many limitations aymore. For most people, aside from the fact its a weird time, people died / lost their jobs etc life is pretty much back to normal right now.

There are like 70 people infected every day (in the whole country), 20 still on IC's and average of 19 deaths every weak. Which sucks, but we're doing fine compared to other countries in the world. I'm kinda proud of our government and my fellow dutch people!

I live in Georgia and we closed for 10 days an April. That’s it. Many restaurants still do takeout only but other than that everything is ”normal” as far as I know aside from large event spaces being closed.

The difference between states are huge aren't they?

Also curious I see lots of people on here refer to it as 'covid' -the actual name of the disease-. Do people irl name it like that there too? Literally never heard someone naming it that over here lol its always 'corona'

I called it corona at first but I call it covid mostly now.

but yeah each state basically gets to choose how to handle it on their own. Not that it would have mattered for me because it would be trump instead of kemp and I’m not sure which would have been worse lol
