    Lol.

    I still don’t understand why people didn’t like her verse. Like I said awhile back her verse was simply a set up to his verse.

    She was the assist man to his dunk. Plus she wasn’t trying to (At least before hearing his verse) out rap him. She did her style. Which is the best thing you can do with Em unless you’re ready to take it to that level with him

    Might as well just play your game while he does his thing.

    This was a cool find. I’m a fan of Young MA after her version of Quiet Storm.

    It’s interesting who he collaborates with in person vs. just sending stuff back and forth. I remember hearing for Love Game with Kendrick he kicked everyone out of the studio but the two of them and actually worked on it together. I’m curious what his process is on that.

    You're right. I think I just dislike the placement. In fact, upon thinking about this, I think I made the ultimate MTBMB playlist. Three discoveries I made:

    1.) Dropping "In Too Deep" and "Those Kinda Nights" is a no brainer and the album moves better without them. They deviate from the theme early on, which is especially evident when the eerie Alfred skit leads in to... Ed Sheeran?

    2.) "Stepdad" can kinda work in the right context. Push it waay up. It's kinda cheesy but works as a tone setter early on, and plays well off the shooter twist of "Darkness" if you place the song and the preceding skit right after. It's another story of an individual becoming dangerous but with a little more empathy. The even more important thing though is that "Stepdad" precedes "Leaving Heaven". This way the zany story track gains weight and meaning when Em is cussing out his dad for leaving later, because you've already heard some of the fallout.

    3.) "No Regrets" is a perfect, chill palette cleanser imediately after "Leaving Heaven". Like above, they're quite complimentary with the same defiant energy. Seriously, I think this was a missed opportunity.
