Sep 5, 2020 Parts of Em's flow remind me of the Campaign Speech freestyle he dropped a few years ago. He's sort of stretching some of these words out unnaturally which makes the whole thing sound forced. I'll never forget thinking that Zane Lowe and I were listening to completely different songs as he praised Campaign Speech like it was the second coming of the "Eminem we fell in love with", or something along those lines. Anyways, this is not my cup of tea, but certainly not terrible. However, when it comes to Big Sean, I'd take Voices In My Head/Stick To The Plan over this any day.

Sep 5, 2020 Finally got around to listening to this. What order did the verses go in? There were some nice bars in this but I have absolutely no idea who people were so interested to put a name to the voice. Didn't even recognise Sean's voice on first listen.

Sep 5, 2020 I definitely don't agree about rather listening to Recovery, and I still enjoy Em, especially with Kamikaze and MTBMB of course, but I have to say, he really has been putting out verses and songs like this one for a long, long time now. The tone may be more or less aggressive, the cleverness of the lines may be a bit better or worse, but basically ever since MMLP2 he's been doing these very technical verses on every feature and often on his albums. It was on post-MMLP2 features, it was all over Shady XV and on Southpaw plus his other 2015 features. It was on Revival in places (albeit really s-----y), and it's been on many features he's done since then. Again, the tone and flow aren't always the same, but the technicality of it has been pretty d--- uniform. Some might try to say he's always improving, he's spitting his cleverest lines ever RIGHT NOW, but the truth is, he's been at the ceiling of cleverness and technicality for basically the last 5-6 years, with very marginal differences.

He did it on All I Think About, he did it on Godzilla, he did it again here, and I know for a fact he's done it on other songs, I just can't remember them off the top of my head.
