Oct 7, 2020 Yeah I was a little disappointed cuz pretty much all the finished (and best) songs had already leaked. I'm glad I got to hear it, but it definitely feels like the bones of something that could have been a 5 mic classic if finished and fleshed out. But there's really nothing more fitting than him uploading an outside leak of his own unfinished project to TIDAL as its "official" release lol
Oct 7, 2020 Idk about you guys, but with every passing day I've been more mesmerized by this album. Jay's raps are just captivating, the choices of esoteric samples and orchestra combine so nicely with his mysticism themes. The journey to finally hear these songs together was honestly worth it for me, been real introspective lately and this album seriously resonated more than I thought, wondering if any of y'all have felt the same way?
Oct 7, 2020 I wholeheartedly agree brother. Been looking inward as of late as well, and just the feelings this album evokes makes it all the more brilliant and relevant to me. Dinner at Tiffany's into Shiny Suit Theory is just otherworldly, and his rough singing on the demo Nights of the Roundtable feels passionately beautiful. And don't get me started on his reflection on Memories and Merlot Such a beautifully put together album (that isn't even finished yet). There's definitely some pitfalls with it but that adds to the allure for me I guess. After all these years...
