Dec 23, 2020 You mean they had a resurgence? Prime is when you're at your absolute best. At your pinnacle. It can only happen once.
Dec 23, 2020 Yeah no your right, I actually reread your post again after I responded and realized what you were actually saying but I just left it alone. I actually agree with you that newer Eminem goes over the average persons head, where as before he was still a genius but portrayed his music in a much simpler fashion which was relatable to way more people. I prefer his simpler music as I don’t really care about lines that have triple meanings.. once in a while is cool but it just seems like it’s his main objective now.. that kinda stuff was never really the stuff that made me go whaaaaattttttttt back in the day after smoking a blunt.. it was more flow, beat, delivery and straight up lyrics and what your actually saying / impact your having / point your making / stance your taking / what you represent .... the motha f---ing movement!!! like I think Soldier is top 3 Eminem track. Hard to call it right but that’s GOAT level s--- right there. Ain’t nobody f---ing with that. Ever. that’s what got me going!
Dec 23, 2020 Man i love the production on this album. Top 3 Em project in terms of production. I can’t accept something under this level from Em after this.
Dec 23, 2020 Revival has bigger songs for me. Believe is probably his biggest song since he came back. Its def my favourite since his prime. Walk On Water Believe River Bad Husband Tragic Endings Framed Castle Arose I like those and some are big songs for me. On Relapse I like 3am Insane Bagpipes From Bagdad Stay Wide Awake Old Time's Sake Beautiful Crack A Bottle Underground I only would call Beautiful a big song here. I think Revival's songs feel bigger. He perfected the poppy style with this one. I like Relapse but there not much replay value. While I revisit Believe always.
Dec 23, 2020 I feel like way too many are focused on the triple meanings, complex bars, or speed rapping. They focus on that and they think that's what it's about. Wrong. He has been doing that for a while - altho he does it more effectively at times on this album. That's NOT what makes this a classic album. Some people just don't seem to have an ear for music and it's almost not even worth trying to explain. Its his flow and sound over some very trendy beats on a very well produced album combined with the overall work of art and the variety that it brings overall. A solid list of tracks that has something for everyone.
Dec 23, 2020 I wanted to let you all know that @young snow got banned from HipHop Shelter back in the day for doing exactly what he's doing now. Just a heads up. Try not to engage too much. Ain't that right SlickNick?
Dec 23, 2020 LOL Benzino deleted ALL his Tweets related to Eminem. What the f--- is going on?. Collab soon?
Dec 23, 2020 This must be the coldest yet true realization I've seen on this forum, about stans at least.
Dec 23, 2020 LOL I was just kidding with the collab thing, of course that's never going to happen. But I wonder what actually happened. Someone scared him off?
Dec 23, 2020 Then you have the Stans who won't accept a different opinion, who don't see the greatness in a slow-rapping, fun-to-listen-to Eminem, without having to play "lyrical catch-up." Nah bro you need a very high IQ to listen to Eminem durrr. These simpletons just don't appreciate rewinding songs fifty times in a row and playing the song at half-speed just to catch the words he's saying.
