Dec 26, 2020 Eminem needs to cut ties with Royce. Then maybe he’ll make good songs again instead of just super complex rhymes.
Dec 26, 2020 Anything to make us feel better about the dwindling reality of Em’s career slowly losing its relevance as he appears less & less on collages of trending musicians. It’s not about the music, it’s about the posters. (Just like this forum)
Dec 26, 2020 You want your favorite artist to win, period. The albums are done, the reception was good, so why not promote them?
Dec 26, 2020 Everything about MTBM Side A & B is great. The production is excellent, there are some great choruses, some crazy wordplay but the only thing holding it back for me and the reason why I won't be listening to it again like his previous albums is his voice. Might not be a problem for some but for me his low monotone, robotic voice sucks the enjoyment out of a lot of songs. It's a shame cause this album has some of the best production i've heard from him in years. What pisses me off is that he can still rap like he used to. We've heard it on several occasions on songs like Castle or Arose I think. We've heard it on Relapse when he's not rapping with an acccent. Careful What You Wish For as an example. There's clearly something about the tone of his voice that can be adjusted during production to make it sound better. For me his vocals during TES/8 Mile era was the best. But i'm not even expecting that. Even his lazy/drugged vocals from Encore era were sonically pleasing. I'll take the yelling of Recovery over the weird monotone vocals you can hear on Gnat and most of the album. It sucks because it's otherwise a great album but for me it kills the replay value once i've heard the song a few times I find myself looking for the chorus or feature versus more than anything.
Dec 26, 2020 I mentioned paul cause hes known to be greedy and do many things for money. I get that you prefer something more serious and cant argue to that since its your taste. Im tryin to say that I enjoy those last two (or three if you like) albums way more that the recovery/mmlp2 era in witch you could say that he was #1 sales wise esp with recovery. Id rather have those albums with no promotion at all than the other way around. Sales isnt even an indicator for good music in the first place.
Dec 26, 2020 Wanting a big record isn't wanting pop Em back. It means keeping the pop stuff on that one record for the radios/charts/performances.
Dec 26, 2020 That’s not the point and I didn’t even say those things(the somebody his age thing is out of context)My point is that you guys want him to make music with trendy pop artists for the sake of commercial success and not the quality of his music. Especially considering the fact we’ve been complaining about “pop” Eminem for a long time. He’s Eminem, his sales will always be strong and as long as he’s making good music we don’t give af if his album sells like 400k in the first week. He’s not in his prime.
Dec 26, 2020 I do love Recovery, it was a bit more serious and personal than this new record. And he was still able to make hits, something I miss. Those songs used to keep me going back to them. He also performed multiple times with Rihanna and the success was so big that they ended up touring together. That's how big those records where. I also loved Not Afraid, Spacebound, and obviously No Love, both killed it. Let me remind you that he performed No Love with Weezy, that was also dope.
Dec 26, 2020 I've accepted Eminem's new style and you and others need to as well... It's people like you that are forcing Eminem to keep changing s--- and at the end of the day Eminem doesn't want to do his past s---, he's been there and done that. Just feel blessed that we getting a almost 50 year old rapper putting out a near classic
Dec 26, 2020 I remember all of these, recovery aimed for mainstream succes and did just that.. I just take that mtbmb em sound over the pop em sound without a second thought. We lived in the days he has huge, we lived in the days he came back and did all those things you mentioned in the recovery era, now we moved from that. Im happy to be able to enjoy this type of quality in em albums in 2020 and thats it. If he wants to go that route again and aim for the mainstream with any means possible good. I just think he sounds better now that he is doing his thing with no pressure.
Dec 26, 2020 Lana has to happen lol they even have the same friend Maybe he promotes her album cause she never shot him.
Dec 26, 2020 B-Side is nowhere near a classic. You can be his fan and still not like some of his music. If he’s changing his style because fans don’t like what he’s doing, that’s HIS f--- up, not the fans’.
Dec 26, 2020 Your just living in the past and either accept it or change the station, it's like being in a repetitive echo chamber
Dec 26, 2020 You say this but hes still doing lines about playing fortnite with your grandma, "ornana" and adult diapers and s---, but those are fine? I'm guessing you heard tone deaf and was like "f---! Eminem is being funny?? He needs to hang up the mic!" That is literally more immature than anything in those songs lol. Its interesting where people draw the line at what's comedy and "ugh hes too mature for this s---!". Eminem has always been funny, and it's a massive reason why he was initially so appealing. People who think hes too old to be funny are very close minded. Eminem's puns alot the time are far less mature than he used to be.
Dec 26, 2020 You’re* just settling for mediocrity because it’s Eminem. It’s like being in a repetitive echo chamber.
