Nov 13, 2016 I like how he uses things like "Eminem produces his own songs" for one of his points Em is one of the most boring hip hop producers of all time Also how he called half of Jays discography worse than Relapse, Encore & Recovery
Nov 13, 2016 If Eminem remained the same quintessentially complete artist who maintained relevancy, phonetic adroitness, and lyrical prowess he obtained by 2001, without releasing "Devil's Night" as a D12 Project, there's no doubt in my mind that he would have at least been ubiquitously and unanimously acclaimed as the only Rap/Hip-Hop artist who was parallel to Jay. "Devil's Night", without a doubt ("UndoubtedIy"), ruined the momentum he had from 1997 to 2001. I honestly prefer most of Nas' Catalog to Jay's anyway. His Verbal Intercourse verse is quite possibly the greatest contribution to "The Culture" by any Rap/Hip-Hop Artiste.
Nov 13, 2016 Black Album is way more classic than any Em album Jay's classics are the definition of classic
Nov 15, 2016 easy to rhyme more when you arent rapping about anything Eminem is a glorified battle rapper, Jay is music that will last
Jan 19, 2021 Have you heard The Blueprint 1? Maybe Jay didn't produce the album himself, but he worked closely with Kanye and Just Blaze, and the creative decisions were made by him. Its production style is something we hadn't heard before, and he took huge risks that could've easily been career-ending if executed poorly. Yet it became one of the best albums of the 2000s. Saying that he's nothing more than just a good MC is super ignorant. Jay is one of the GOATs.
Jan 22, 2021 I can see why some people prefer Jay-Z, he doesn't have dumb songs and his relationship tracks are about a real woman lol, his hot wife, but as an Em fan, Jay my number 2.
Jan 22, 2021 "Eminem also produces and mixes songs" Not relevant. That's like caring about whether a chef buys their food at a grocery store or farms it themself. "Recovery>>>>>>>RD, BP, BA, AG" What?? "Kindom Come, Blueprint 2, Blueprint 3, The Dynasty, Magna Carter Holy Grail, Volume 3, Volume 2 are worst than Eminem's worst album" Oh come on. These aren't worse than Revival. "Eminem has much more substance and emotion in his music "Jay Z's Mafiaso rap based on d--- dealing, wealth and materialism" That's cherrypicking. Neither of them exclusively make shallow songs. I could equally say "Jay made 4:44 while Em raps about killing people and popping pills" " sold much more records" Popular doesn't automatically mean better.
Jan 22, 2021 Nas and Tupac >>>> both But, between the 2, I'll say I prefer Eminem. Jay's great and a top 5 rapper for sure but his marketing, beat selection, and feature choices have always been a great asset in keeping his career afloat.
