    No matter how lacklustre I find jay or how much I used to stan nas (even the bad albums), takeover is both a better song and better diss than ether

    I always thought that Takeover was a way better Mobb Deep diss than a Nas diss. Still amazing all the way tho. That kanye beat just makes me pick it over ether any day.

    It works better as an actual song imho but I think Ether is better because it was mostly facts(Hov's obsession with Nas, being a dickrider who hops on trends, biting Biggie, etc.) while Takeover was mainly Jay disguising his opinions as facts(It Was Written being "nah", Horse being Nas's bodyguard, MC Serch owning Nas's publishing).

    So, as an actual diss record, I still consider Ether superior.
