We need more Shady. The last few albums have been kind of a mixed bag. It's part Em, part Slim, part Marshall. Whatever happened to his Detroit what accent? His immaturity. Relapse was close, but he used quite a different accent and so it felt more comical. And I believe he missed an opportunity in Evil Twin. I remember getting so hyped up for Evil Twin, thinking that he'd use the old Slim voice.

Here's an idea. If Eminem made an album with 100 percent of his old style, it would shock the world at first. Of course he'd get criticized a bit for copying his old self. But what he could do is start the songs off as Slim and as we get further into the song, he can start speeding it up and getting creative. That way we can get the best blend of both worlds.

Here's the thing. You say he can't go back to his old style. But why has Eminem been allowed to go back to the same style since Shady 1V? Think about it. Imagine Eminem making a song like MY NAME IS, but then starts spazzing out 3/4 through the song? That would be so sick.

I'd be cool with it as long as he raps in his OG Slim Shady voice that had that smooth, nasal, Masta Ace sounding tone as opposed to his modern voice and choppy flow.

Honestly, I just want to see Eminem be funny again in his music. Prime Eminem was hilarious. Post Relapse Eminem just isn't that funny, save for a few moments. He doesn't necessarily need to be Slim Shady but a project that's leftfield, funny, and filled with good concept songs would be appreciated.

That's just me though. I personally think Eminem is very calculated and understands that it probably wouldn't be the best move to return to that style though.

The most SSLP-like song on the album - Tone Deaf - ended up bottom 3 in the elimination game. Stop this. No one cares about that style, including this forum. People claim to want such album but they wouldn't care if it came out. Btw, I love SSLP and Tone Deaf but fax.

Comparing FLAC files from Qobuz to a CD rip, and a WEB rip, all 16.44. Qobuz sounds the worst in my opinion. Its hard to describe, but it sounds less vibrant, like sounds don't 'echo' for as long, Hallow, and lifeless.
Just listen to We Made You on Qobuz compared to CD, or even another WEB rip. No competition.
I'm surprised there's so much praise; and couldn't find much negativity surrounding Qobuz and the audio, curious what other people think?
Deja Vu maybe you can notice the clap sound more prominently, but the better parts of the beat that you want highlighted, just sound surpressed.

Every now and then I read that people's dreams are to have Eminem release Relapse 2. That would be their ultimate Slim Shady dream. But wasn't Refill all the songs that would have been on Relapse 2 anyways? If Em really made a Relapse 2, he could always just release it with Relapse and call it Side B. He did that with Music To Be Murdered By. Pretty much.

There may be some songs on Side B that were meant for the regular album. But in some of the songs you hear him talking about Covid, so you know that they were recorded later on. In a way, Side B is a separate album, disguised as a bonus cd.

Eminem could do that for every album if he wanted to. Side B one year later. Just imagine if Eminem created a Side B for the MMLP. That way he could create a real MMLP 2, but just call it Side B. It would actually give Eminem an excuse to go back to any persona he wanted to.

Yes he did. There was an interview during the Relapse promo run where mentioned that the album was nearly finished. He only put out Refill at the end of 2009 because he delayed the release of Relapse 2. His idea of the sequel changed but he still wanted to put out music for the fans.

And 6 new songs don't make up for the fact that he vaulted a complete project imo.
50 Cent often said that his favourite music was on the second one and many producers described the album as being a little more mature if I recall correctly.

In other words: I still would like it to be released. Maybe as a free mixtape.
