Jan 25, 2021 By his standards being skill, body of work, and impact, I see his ratings being a little off. Definitely Not mad at Jay being #1 though. He has the best discography of any hip hop artist imo, bc he doesn't have a bad album. Even Kingdom Come being his least favored (mostly bc it came off the heels of the black album) isnt a "bad" album. And his impact is unquestionable. Andre being 2 though? Skill level of course hes incredible, his impact is also visible, but his body of work consisting of group projects and features that would have to knock him down quite a few notches I would think. Nas is w/o a doubt one of the greatest of all time, but he catches as much flak as Em in regards of discography so him being number 3 by flexs rating system is also ehhh. Drake shouldnt be included IMO. Neither should kanye but kanye has openly worked with writers it's not a secret, hes in the same category as Dre in that regard. They're both creatives and top tier producers that work with writers/other producers to see their vision thru. If Kanye is on there dr dre should be on there. Other than that I think Em should be top 10 as well as banks and T.I needing to be way higher. Game not being on it is also wild as h---. I see Game get left off alot of lists and idk why. I'd also take thug out and put 2 chainz (but higher than #50)

Jan 26, 2021 If Em is on the internet(I'm assuming he definitely is), he's got to see that people have been appreciating Side A and B quite much. Plus, the amount of praise Zeus and Discombobulated have gotten from critics should show him that if he does indeed make the good music we expect from him, he won't receive bad comments. I hope, Em expands on the aforementioned songs with MVs. Also, I think the next album is gonna be even more experimental than the current one.
Jan 26, 2021 His 1st album (best) was carried by 50's work & Dre's vocal producing. He struggled for years learning how to rap before his debut. The Game sometimes struggles the very basics of rapping, multi syllable rhyme schemes & staying on beat. How that would constitute him as 1 of the greatest is beyond me. He's got some bangers tho.
Jan 26, 2021 The production on Campaign Speech still intrigues me. I'm sure that's a sign of him working with experimental music but probably thinks it's too risky to put out. (Coincidentally during the MMLP2 - Revival hiatus.) I'm dying to hear something fresh like that.

He is dope but he barely has a discography to show for it. If anything you can put them as OutKast, Andre doesn't even have a solo album to my knowledge. Nas is boring as f--- but I can respect him being there even though he never reach the heights of Illmatic which was more than 25 years ago lol. Rakim is dope. I got no s--- to complain when it comes to him except for the fact that is he really alive ? When was the last time he dropped an album ? DRAKE ?!! f--- off already. Cole & kendrick are well deserved. Slick Rick is one of my personal favs. Good to see him recognized like that. Eminem is 15 ??? For all I know, Em is an easy top 3 in this list. This is just mad. They basically put some of the living MCs that hasn't even rapped for a decade or even more. And some of them are even rated higher than f---in' Eminem ?!!! They put Drake in the top 5 for f---'s sake! Seriously, I can't take that s--- serious. Just realized they also put Mase there. Omg, imagine thinkin' Mase is top 25 alive MC. This might be the worst list I've ever seen regarding this topic.

Jan 26, 2021 I prefer Everything, The Apple, Cocaine, It's Been Real, Hip Hop, Cut Back, Ballin' Uncontrollably, Difficult, and Syllables over any Kamikaze and MTBMB content. Kamikaze did have a lot of those classic sounds but ultimately fell short.
Jan 26, 2021 I don't want that exact same content, style, vibe, etc. from Em with his current music. Stepping Stone is a perfect example. That has plenty of his old style combined with a current and fresh sound. He demonstrated evolution while sticking with his authentic self. That 'Eminem' feel is about essence, creativity, passion, and love for the art. There are flashes of this throughout his post-hiatus career but it hasn't been enough. Kamikaze could even be argued as the closest Em has come to capturing that old magic. I need to make a thread about my theories on Eminem's post-hiatus career.

Understable from this point of view, but ain't no way Drake is top 5. K-dot has to be up there, and for Cole it's OK. Pusha T being this high and before Em (only 15th lmao), and the fact that there's no Tha dogg pound member... This crew flew over 2 game changer albums, Snoop and Kurupt are dope rappers. Come on, that list was written with a pencil in the a---.

Jan 26, 2021 I'm all for experimentation and all that. But personally, I don't see anything in Campaign Speech except bs. However, Em's beat switches and beat choices, throwback songs make me hopeful for more experimentation. But Campaign Speech... Someone erase that from Em's discography.
