Jan 26, 2021 So he only has 1 good album? The one 50 helped with? What about the other projects without 50 or Dre? And why am I discussing Game here lol Drake makes sense, cause he's at the top, but Game is far from relevant these days. Just like 50 btw.
Jan 26, 2021 Drake is a popstar for the 700th f---ing time. You literally like pop music, your criteria is warped so your idea of any top list is completely invalid.
Jan 26, 2021 Wow. First of all, Kendrick is on a three classics run. Maybe he is quiet most of the time, but he don't drop good middle s--- like DLDT. Every appearance is an event. Kendrick is of the Dre kind. And if you don't like TPAB and d---., you don't love hip-hop.
Jan 26, 2021 Lmao I also always liked rap also So what if Drake is pop rap, so was Ye. Even 50 ended up being pop rap. Not even discussing who's the best rapper, just who's running s---.
Jan 26, 2021 TPAB is tougher to catch, but to me it's top 10 ever. The storytelling and the jazz concept, that's what you call creativity. GKMC is easier to reach, it has that new west coast sound TDE bring by the '10
Jan 26, 2021 The point is, you're incapable of naunce. You can't see the difference between surface level, targeted teeny bopper pop music & authentic artistry. We're talking about a guy that makes tik tok music as "running the rap game for years" f--- outta here.
Jan 26, 2021 I have a question for you all, everybody. Can an artist release the rap AOTY and not be considered the rapper of the year?
Jan 26, 2021 Just have a look at stream figures at the end of year 2020. Em has huge numbers so I dont’ think everybody forgets his albums after 1 week, I think you make a confusion between hype and longevity. For some reason (which I really don’t understand) Drake has a massive, lasting success on stream platforms. Maybe because people think it’s cool listening to Drake because of his chilly voice. I respect his success, but I don’t compare him to Kendrick for example. You a huge Drake fan bro?
Jan 26, 2021 Guess you have to be into Jazz and all that. I also get tired of his weird voices real quick. Which is weird considering that I love Relapse.
Jan 26, 2021 Actually no lol, I go hard on Drake's discography, it could have been way better. I think More Life was way better than Views for example, and Scorpion CD2 was boring imo. Did love the singles though. But when it comes to features and hype, he's been my favorite for a long time. He knows how to create hype and turn someone else's song into a hit. When it comes to Em, us his fans keep listening, but people in general forget he dropped real quick. Dude lasts like 2 minutes in the charts these days. Also ends up not even being mentioned in top albums lists.
Jan 26, 2021 I don't even f--- with his last project, but I did love this CLB is my most anticipated project this year, unless Jay has something to say.
Jan 26, 2021 So who is then? Kendrick? He's a better rapper, but he definitely doesn't have the hype or the impact Drake has. Drake can own a year without even dropping just off features alone. He's out there saving rappers careers. That's what I mean.
Jan 26, 2021 The more I listen to this, the more dollar tree references I hear. It's not just me right?
