Of course Kamikaze was amazing, it was like a reset, Eminem went back into his pocket. Ngl, I was sooooo amazed by this album, then MTBMB happened, I was like "yo, he keeps getting better" - Em dropped a full album that was 9/10, but Side B? Man, this is Eminem's album we all been waiting for since 2002. Eminem having fun with music, album full of bars, slick bars, dope beats, flows were insane. For me Side B is his best since TES, but once again, I understand why some people would put Kamikaze over it

Anyone who thinks Kamikaze and MTBMB "flopped" has no clue what a "flop" even is lol.

These 3 songs are a good example of how Eminem responded to critics. But why didn't he do something like this after Revival?

Instead of recording a song for critics such as "The Way I Am", "Sing for the Moment" or "Not Afraid", he made an entire album of Kamikaze attacking young artists, and then released Side B, where he continued to attack the same young artists.

When will he answer critics and not young artists? Kamikaze was not a response to Revival, Kamikaze was a diss for no reason on young artists. I don't accept Kamikaze for the reason that this album doesn't make sense at all.

Quality wise, he did it with MTBMB anyway. But as for the numbers, well, I don't think he can easily pass that.
1- He has to rest for some time till he drops another album for a year or two.
2 - He has to release a shorter album.
3 - He has to have a song that can actually go popular and maybe some promo too. Maybe a new, never before collab would help it a lot.

I think Kami, Side A and Side B are all great in their own way and would respect any order of them

Are you dumb? He went at rappers who said s--- about him, which happened to be a few young rappers.

True but it's basically a long tradition in hip hop for OG's to tackle that subject. Common did it with "I Used to Love H.E.R.", De La Soul did it with Stakes Is High, Nas did it with Hip Hop is Dead, etc.

Em's just going through his OG rapper phase where he's trying to "right the wrongs" in rap. Problem is hip hop streams are dominated by high schoolers who mainly listen to hip hop for beats, vibes, and partying.

I know Eminem likes Travis but Travis is ironically the main culprit of being a rap star with extremely watered down content. Dude makes great music but has ZERO substance or lyrical value. Even Drake has more substance. Btw, Em didn't even attack Drake and you can't say it's because of politics because Hov, Diddy, Kanye, Pusha T, Meek, etc. openly attacked Drake and they're fine.

I guess I feel Em played it a little safe when it came to the types of rappers he dissed on Kamikaze ironically. MGK and Lil Pump are nobody's in the grand scheme of things.

Quality wise he already did with Side B. Sales-wise he needs to do a different promotion strategy. The surprise release worked well with Kamikaze because he was active on social media all 2018 (posting epic s-----y selfies/tour vlogs)and toured all major music festivals that year which put him in front of millions of fans that would "check" for him again. I think he could top it if he put out a single early (collab w/ drake, Rihanna, or a goat like Jay or Nas) and promote it by ACTUALLY doing radio interviews again. EM would hate it but imagine how viral a Breakfast Club interview would be! He needs to get in front of people that will actually ask him tough/real questions. I also think part of why he gets disrespected by these younger "voices" in hip hop is because he doesn't participate in much of the other outlets like he used to in the old days

I never heard them talk s--- about him, but I heard that Eminem hates the whole new school of rap.

Every single one of them he dissed had said s--- about him or his music, from Vince Staples to Tyler. Kamikaze was addressing rappers and hip-hop media sitting around talking bad about his music and his place in the game and culture.

Kam hype was just great. And everything that came with it. Eminem dropped a surprise album. He was dissing people. He was spitting. He was cocky and confident. Even the stans thought eminem was done after revival. So kam was the perfect album for that time. It was what we needed.

side a & b was Eminem going in a somewhat different direction but keeping the momentum going. The year was 2020 and eminem gave us two albums that fans argue to be classics

he shouldn't have made an album like that anyway. before he went against critics, and now against hip-hop culture and hip-hop artists. even on this forum, a lot of people say that Eminem is making s-----y music these days.

the last 3 СDs were very mediocre - Kamiflop, Side a--- & Side b----.

If the artists are going against him, why would he not respond? That is literally part of the culture and has been pretty much since the beginning.

It's a good film. Not the kind of movie I would watch 5 times, but it's definitely worth 1 or 2 rewatches.

he could have done just one song, but instead of one song he has already made two whole albums (Kamiflop & Side b----). he could release a free mixtape. why is he dedicating his official solo album to such s---?

Eminem's albums have always been about something from real life, they weren't against a bunch of different artists. I've always loved listening to the stories that Eminem tells in his albums, but now I only hear a 50-year-old fart who literally in every song complains that new artists are better than him and that s---. I'm tired of this kind of music. In recent years, I hardly listened to Eminem.

Eminem has to make songs with interesting stories again, which is why he had so many fans in the 2000s. on the side a--- there are not enough high-quality stories, on the side b---- there are too many diss songs. this album as a whole is very average, worse than Encore, but slightly better than Kamikaze.
