Mar 2, 2021 The first 6 months are filled with physical therapy getting mobility back in the knee. Once you're done with that your knee is not back to normal 100%. For about the next 3-4 years if I was on a long car ride I'd need to stop a lot to stretch my leg and my knee would swell up. That was probably the biggest pain. But honestly now I don't really notice a difference to my regular knee. I workout with no issues. Every once in a while it will act up and swell a little, but it's not as common now. They cut my patella tendon out as my ACL so sometime the patella can get a little tendonitis. But your recovery depends on how hard you work in physical therapy. If you don't go often or put in the work you won't get the same mobility back in the knee
Mar 2, 2021 yeah i have the same problem with my back on long car rides. The body hates staying static for long periods. sounds like you did a great job with your rehab.
