for the colts this is a low risk move. even if Wentz sucks for the rest of his career, they didn't have to give up much to get him. and now he's on a team with that has a very good offensive line and his old coach that he had success under.

for the eagles this is a disaster. they basically gave Wentz away. and when you factor in his contract and the draft capital the Eagles gave up to draft Wentz, that's just salt in the wound

Wentz had his MVP-like season — three injuries ago mind you — two mediocre seasons that were borderline bad if it weren’t for the run we had playing the horrible division teams to end 2019, and one dead last, worst in the league season. For his career, he’s pretty much a .500 quarterback. He’s physically limited after the injuries, and I’d bet my life he’s dealing with some kind of post concussion syndrome. He turned out to be a huge baby, a blamed everyone else for his horrible season. He threw ten interceptions from a clean pocket and was responsible himself for 11 sacks. Dude will be out of the league by 2024, no doubt in my mind.

I wouldn’t have even traded a third for him, but we managed to get a third and a first.

if he can’t succeed on that stacked Colts team, which he won’t, it’ll be f---ing awesome. And I can’t wait to laugh in the face of all the fans around here that are bigger fans of Wentz than the actual team. Get real.

can’t believe how fast that went downhill. I’m sure there’s way too many posts from me coming to his defense in here that are embarrassing now lol.

Go out and draft Jamarr Chase and watch Hurts dominate. Kid’s a dog. Let’s f---ing go!

ya'll only get a first if he plays 75 percent of the snaps

and boos.....regardless of how Wentz does for the rest of his career, i'd be very surprised if you told me you are happy with what the eagles got in return for Wentz. look at what the Lions got for an OLDER matthew stafford. and the eagles obviously traded wentz SOLELY based on what he did in the 2020 season. its not like his body of work in philly was bad. 2020 season was just bad

You under estimate just how much I’ve grown to hate Wentz. He’s rivaling Chip Kelly for my most hated sports figure in Philadelphia history. I’m actively rooting for him to fall on his face almost as much as I’m rooting for the eagles.

Wentz isn’t good anymore and is used goods. Look at how many teams currently need QBs and how many of them didn’t even bother to call about Wentz. Vegas virtually didn’t change their odds to win it all at all.

he’ll play 12 games and we’ll get our first round pick. I would’ve taken a shamrock shake and a Big Mac for him at this point.

the colts look good on paper with that O-line, but look how fast Dallas went from having the best line in the league to where they are now.

that's fine if you really dislike him and glad he's no longer on the eagles. but that's totally irrelevant when it comes to what each team received in a trade.

for the record, i'm NOT saying wentz will do good in indy. i don't know how he'll do. i think its hard to say

my point is this-- when you consider how much the eagles invested into Wentz, what they got in return for him wasn't enough. you guys gotta pay him 33 million next season and he's not even on the team. all i'm saying is the wentz situation is a tough pill to swallow for the eagles

I think I said it before but it was necessary at this point to trade him. Whether you think he is an MVP style QB or the worst in the league, the relationship was “damaged beyond repair” as it was put. I was a Wentz fan but I hate how he handled the situation from the start this year. I think we could’ve gotten more but again wentz put us in a corner and made it so that he could only go to the Colts and the colts then had the upper hand.

I’m glad to see the situation over. The eagles are still a s--- show right now with an unknown future. Unlikely we are competitive this year. My biggest question is if we will be competitive in 2022 or if this will be a min. 3 year rebuild.

We save money, around 800k on the cap, by not having Wentz on the roster. Yeah, giving him the contract will eat a huge chunk this year, but he didn’t want to be here, and, quite frankly, he sucks. So why not move him and just make sure the cap hit is this year and no more. Our head coach and QB did not speak to each other for the last ten weeks of the season. We needed to distance ourselves from that completely. Getting him out of our locker room was worth eating that cap hit. It’s honestly insane we didn’t have to do a Brock Osweiler type of deal and send a pick with him to get him out of herw

i'll always like rudolph because he was on the team so long. i don't think its a big loss for us. Irv Smith is a solid tight end and we've got plenty of receiving options with Thielen and Justin Jefferson

Do you really think that Dak is worth all that? Not shi--ing on him as a player, but what has he done to prove he’s worth 160 million? I feel like he’d have to make the NFC championship within the next two years to make this seem worth it.
