well, i guess neither of us saw that coming lol.

joker missed too many routine shots that he would normally make. his serve was also off. he just dug himself too deep of a hole, and you can't do that against nadal, especially at the french open. i'm really surprised joker lost that easily, especially given how well he's played in 2020. the crazy thing is nadal didn't lose ONE SET in the ENTIRE 2020 french open :emoji_astonished:

d--- that was impressive, too bad Djokovic did so many errors cause he had some moments in the 3rd set when his game was going in the right direction and you could see Nadal struggled with that.
Oh well, Good Game Rafa. Totally deserved.

Yup already saw Shapovalov vs Sinner, amazing game. Is nice to see fans in the stands no masks, no social distancing. Can't wait for this fking nightmare to be over.

Now getting my popcorn ready to watch Anderson - Berrettini and Tsitsipas - Gilles Simon.

i just watched serena vs. naomi.

naomi got off to a slow start but once she settled down she pretty much controlled the match for the rest of the way. serena kept fighting but you could just tell that naomi was in control. i will say this though--naomi will have to clean up/eliminate all those double faults if she wants to win in the final

who do you have winning medvedev vs. tsitsipas?

Well I for sure think Medvedev will crush him, Tsitsipas must be tired as h--- after that marathon against Rafa also Medvedev leads 5-1 in the games they played together.

Everytime they play against each other my mind goes back to this moment when tsitsipas called him "bs russian" and that's strange cause I think his mother is a russian lol

lol yeah that was a funny moment. Medvedev pretty much crushed him like you predicted, it didn't even reach 4 sets.

so now Medvedev has to beat Djokovic to win the tournament. maybe he'll finally capture his first major this year...

i didn't get to see this match. the only reason i didn't watch it is because in America it was on at 3:30am. in other words it was on when people are typically sleeping

i thought Djokovic would win, but not that easily. i'm disappointed Medvedev didn't put up a better fight.

anyway, do you play tennis with your friends or anything? where i live the weather is starting to warm up, so i'm gonna start playing some tennis with my co-workers. :grinning:

d--- this grand slam caught me off guard.

Just started a new job and I was at work while the games were on, but I managed to watch Serena Williams - Buzarnescu and Federer - Cilic.

I have 3 days off on sat, sun and mon and I'll be watching games all day.

How about you? who do you support? I just don't want Nadal to win this cause I know Federer doesn't have a chance lol but I don't want Rafa to pass him in grand slam titles

i just got done watching cameron norrie vs. nadal. rafa advanced in straight sets but norrie fought hard to the end.

just a few days ago they unveiled a statue of nadal outside of roland garros. the statue is made of all steel. i think its a cool thing to do and he obviously deserves it. i'm just surprised they made one while he's still playing. in my experience statues of athletes typically aren't made until the player has retired.

with osaka out, i'm hoping gauff will surprise me and go further than i'm expecting her to. on the men's side i'm going for nadal

@aleeex1972 victoria azarenka complained/criticized the french open for not showing enough FEMALE matches at night time. in other words she was saying they're favoring the men over women when it comes to primetime matches

did you see nadal vs. djokovic? it was a great match, especially the 3rd set. nadal got off to a great start in the first set, but then joker calmed down and got back into the match. nadal had a lot of uncharacteristic unforced errors.

so now we have joker vs. tsitsipas in the final. maybe tsitsipas will finally get over the hump and win his first major. he's got a huge age advantage but i don't know if that'll be enough to beat joker. we'll see...

don't wanna sound out of pocket here, but no one is watching WTA at night time maybe only if a local is playing against a big player and that's how more of the sports works and tennis is one of the only ones that has equal pay so I don't know what her issues are.
Yeah of course, I was hoping for Djokovic to win so Nadal can get pass Federer in grand slams wins lol
Can't wait for the final, I hope Tsitsipas wins it.

i wanted Tsitsipas to win too. i don't have anything against novak, i just wanted to see tsitsipas win his first major. i'd imagine this will be a tough one for tsitsipas to swallow being that he was up 2 sets to 0.

on the other hand, novak deserves a lot of credit. he beat nadal in the semi-final on a surface that nadal is d--- near unbeatable and then he came back from being down 2 sets to 0. that's impressive stuff

even if I'm such a big Federer fan, I'll have to say that Djokovic is something else

you probably already know, but after the final djokovic gave his racket to a young fan and the kid went crazy lol.

and then when djokovic spoke to the media... he said that the kid was supporting/coaching him throughout the match ha. such a cool moment

cya in 2 weeks for wimbledon :grinning:

    @aleeex1972 wimbledon started today

osaka, nadal and halep withdrew. nadal is trying to save his body so he can play as long as he can. halep has a calf injury and i think osaka is still dealing with her mental health stuff

anyway, there are still many players i'm excited to watch. somehow tsitsipas lost already and what's more shocking....it was in straight sets :emoji_astonished:

I will be focusing on EURO the most, but I'll tune in to see Federer and other games when football is not on.

Murray had 5-0 lead in the 3rd set and lost 5-7 lol. That's something that you don't see everyday
