Jul 3, 2021 I saw him twice in 2013 (once at the same festival I missed him at the year before, once for the Yeezus Tour), then I saw him at Bonnaroo in 2015, then for the d--- tour in 2017. So I def feel lucky to have seen him during every subsequent era. He did play some section.80 and OD stuff at the 2013 shows but of course they were GKMC heavy. Still great shows tho.
Jul 3, 2021 The first time I saw him at that festival (Bumbershoot) was at Key Arena and Joey Badass was right before him. I was pissed cuz I told my friends we had to get there early to get on the floor cuz they let such a small amount of people on but they didn’t listen. By some stroke of luck we managed to be in a section where a group of people decided to rush the bouncers so we just followed and made it on the floor lol. After that they upped the security to get onto the floor so much. Key Arena is a decent venue for a regular concert (saw both the Yeezus and Pablo tours there) but a horrible stage for a music festival cuz you have to wait in line to get in due to capacity issues. Really any enclosed arena is bad for a music fest, cuz half the point of a music fest is you can easily move between stages to catch a bunch of different things.
Jul 3, 2021 grew up broke and idk I was going to go to a festival and then covid hit, atp I might as well just wait until I'm performing at one
Jul 3, 2021 Ah d---. Luckily most of the best experiences I’ve had at concerts have been from the small venue, less known (cheap) acts so I recommend starting small! Hard work in America too that you’ve got to travel halfway across the planet just to get to a venue which increases expenses I suppose, something luckily I don’t have to deal with. I forget about that.
Jul 3, 2021 Tech N9ne comes every year. Been a few times and got pissed on once. It was tight tbh. Snoop passed through one time and it was legit Kmart. Ran into Flavor Flav bowling one time in high school and we bowled a few rounds. It was f---ing hilarious. Guy is actually r-----ed.
Jul 3, 2021 Such a great project. Can’t believe it’s been a decade. definitely past due for a new Kenny album.
Jul 4, 2021 Seen Kendrick in the 02 academy Manchester in 2013. Such a small venue it felt like a different artist back then he was unbelievable and the crowd being in such a tight venue made the atmosphere incredible. Lots of SX80 and GKMC. Definitely one of my top 3 concerts Also met him backstage before the concert and he spoke to us for about 15 minutes. I remember asking him if he was on the MMLP2 (was before the track list was revealed) and he was like “come on man”
