What's up with all those polls about technical rappers with the personality of a cardboard?

Yes he is. But @Chrollo isn't wrong tbh. Nothing about him excites me really. But yes, he is a good rapper.

I mean, what is there to discuss?

You're certainly not inviting the discussion by just asking a simple question. These rappers you're posting, you haven't expanded on why they're worth people's time or why they hold your reverence so much.

And their primes where they could be considered to be on people's radar was almost a decade (or even more) ago.

Tell me why they are good, show me why, what titulates you to gravitate towards them?

And let's be honest, like Roddy said, this is the same thread as Royce's. You seem fixated on proving that this particular group of rappers should be held in higher regard for some reason.

Nobody said I can't discuss rappers past their prime. Nobody said I can't make threads like this, even without elaborating. I've seen bunch of similar threads and nobody complains... I made Royce one and went on a rant for a few pages why I think he's a good one. I posted songs in the other thread, it was a discussion.

Is this because I don't do these threads about popular rappers? Then f--- it, I have nothing to talk about cause I listen to completely different type of rap.

Crook is in a similar predicament as Royce where he’s amazing at the technical s--- but it doesn’t always or ever result in good listenable music. BUT if we’re talking as a good rapper, yes. I personally think he’s better than Royce. Crook does the same technical s--- but has a variety of flows and deliveries that makes his technical raps more interesting when he’s delivering it in a way that’s not straight forward and bland like Royce’s Lupe diss. Technical af but boring. I personally would love to hear Em and Crook work more together because they can bring multiple flows to it.

How about not throwing the baby out of the bathwater and be all defensive compadre. I'm not saying you can or can't do this, that or the other. It's quite obvious that everyone has the prerogative to post about what they like etc. There is no limiter here unless you get in your feelings about posters clowning what you like or don't like.

I invited you to tell me why he's good so you can wax lyrical about him, that was it man

Average at best. Will never be relevant or remembered because he doesn‘t have hits or something special about him. As far as his rap ability yes he is but thats not good enough

I don't think Joel is attacking you bro relax. I agree w you to an extent; I don't care for technical rap like people itt, but overrating the f--- out of some trap rappers I cant really get behind either.

There has always been this old vs new rap battle, I think the key is trying to appreciate both. Not that u have to like all of it of course.

For me its mostly the music that matters. How does it sound. I can appreciate good lyrics or a nice story, but if it sounds boring or not pleasing to me, I pass. Which means I can enjoy rappers like pitbull but also Future, or Nas from time to time
