You need to stop believing that everyone on S80 is against you for some reason, but everywhere else thinks you’re a great rapper. I’ve been listening to rap for 20 years. I’ve been rapping for 10, producing for 10, and mixing for 10. even if your flow was 1/100th of a second off beat I’d be able to hear it. obvi I want people to flourish and grow as artists. it’s an expression of self. Music is beautiful. But you don’t take the criticism. You get offended and deny what ppl are saying
Aug 1, 2021 I took your criticism in the beginning it’s part of why I’m so much better than before. But when you’re saying it about every other song that other people are saying is dope then it’s hard to see anything other than you’re hating, especially when you say Crown is the same as my other songs. Also it’s not a belief when literally it’s the only place saying and things about this track, especially when Spotify curator playlists are picking it up and adding it to them.
Aug 1, 2021 Yes, I’m sure that your music is being listened to by Spotify staff and you’re not paying one of the hundred services who auto submit your music. Kind of like how you pay for these features. You’re not working with these people. You’re paying a service for these verses and beats.
Aug 1, 2021 Dude no one here is trying to be mean or hate just to hate—this is a creative sxn and people are giving honest feedback, it’s the exact same issue all of your music has. Listen to @Winter and @902fre they know what they’re talking about. And if whoever texted you doesn’t see a difference between how blueface raps and how you rap they shouldn’t be giving you advice. You’ve improved for sure like that passage winter pointed out but you still fall into that monotonous off-beat flow. I know you don’t wanna hear this but the reason you get Spotify plays is from the (reused) features that you buy. Your verses bring those songs to a grinding halt when you come on with that robotic flow and offbeat rhymes. Study the passage winter mentioned and keep practicing and making demos. You don’t gotta release everything.
Aug 1, 2021 Like I’m really not trying to be an a------. I think if people like doing any type of art they should do it regardless of skill level. But if you’re looking to improve and hone your craft you should listen to the criticism here. This is a forum full of people who have been listening to, dissecting, discussing, and/or making rap for decades. It doesn’t mean every single one of us is an expert but it does mean that a lot of people already know how to give good constructive criticism because we’ve been practicing it thru posting since like 2002 lol

Aug 2, 2021 And as far as the reused features, I can see how some people wouldn’t agree with them or whatever, but they were a foot in the door. And I haven’t used them for this EP. I worked closely with the artists on this track for our verses. Matter factly this is like the 5th version of the song and I recorded my verses probably 100 times, Based off their feedback. I’m not saying I don’t still get offbeat sometimes but it’s not like majorly offbeat like make it out to be, it’s like a 15th of a second or something. As far as monotonous I don’t know about that, I don’t hear it but then it’s my own voice so who knows, I will have to work on then. Also, I always take what Winter says into consideration and try to work on what he says, he actually gives constructive advice as opposed to f---ing Lasik who only ever says off beat or can’t rap. Who has also already admitted in another thread he just wants to try and pick a fight.

Aug 3, 2021 Listened to the track and agree with what people are saying about the delivery being a little rough. I was actually going to ask which one you were before even reading the comments because I thought the one rapping from 1:28 to 2:08 sounded off beat at times. If you compare that to the one who starts rapping at 2:30 it honestly sounds like 2 different leagues. The delivery on that last verse was fire. Good song. It's catchy. But I have to agree with what others are saying, your delivery does need a bit of work. Keep it up though, there's always room to improve. Getting the flow right isn't easy. Even veteran rappers don't always get it right.
