I don't think weighing up a choice that is getting/not getting the vaccine, and comparing it against apartheid which separated those due to their skin colour is quite appropriate? Like the sentiment of oppression is a thread I'm guessing was what you were hinting at @Ricky (if not, feel free to correct me here), but it's a rather extreme leap in comparison.

Aug 2, 2021 Honestly people here been making comparisons to WW2 even before the vaccination. The curfews, lockdowns. It was being occupied all over again!! Luckily it was only a small group but one of them was a politician that had a (small) following... scary tbh.

Aug 2, 2021 This is the poster. On may 5th we commemorate the victims of WW2. You can't read what it says 'on may 5th we commemorate 75 years of freedom' implying we lost our freedom in 2020 lol. Some people hung this on their windows. I'm pretty sure this is kids stuff and in US people do worse but it caused a lot of frustration over here lol
Aug 2, 2021 Those stats look pretty similar to most areas over here based on the map that I just checked out...but even if ~20%-30% are anti-vaxx that's still pretty wild to me. I'm mostly interested to see how school goes in September with them potentially requiring masks again.
Aug 2, 2021 Biden was talking about throwing $100 at people for getting vaccinated if they haven't been already. If that happens, I'm about to wait as long as I can during the next pandemic that rolls around
