I'm 2 months late on this, but I finally got a chance to watch 'Bo Burnham: Inside' and this special deserves its own thread.

    1hr 27m on Netflix:
    https://www.netflix.com/title/81289483

Written, produced, directed, sang, edited, etc., all by Burnham. It's him "inside" a tiny studio apartment-sized room throughout the entirety and it's just wildly well put together. It's funny, it's sad, it touches on 2020 hot topics, the internet, emotions, etc...

I didn't have any previous exposure to Bo, so I went in with level expectations, but if i could only recommend watching 1 thing this year so far, it'd be this.

Saw it back when it dropped, very very good—perhaps too relatable lol. It's one of the few pieces of media I've seen that hinges on the pandemic that I think will stand the test of time.

This was an incredible and I've been trying to get my sister and her husband to watch it

More people on s80 should watch this and have a conversation about it imo

I'm glad people are enjoying it as much as they are, but he just comes across as pretentious to me. And his self-reflection and cultural philosophizing has all the depth of a college freshman who just took his first sociology classes.

Idk, I feel s-----y for being negative about something literally everyone I know loves, but I just cant get over how "profound" it thinks it is.

Nah you don't have to feel bad if you didn't enjoy it the point of this thread is to recommend it and have people share their thoughts

And outside of the message and whether or not you liked it as a whole there's plenty more things to be impressed by like the shot and song composition for a one man project

So I am watching this right now. It is definitely a very creative piece but to me it got boring quick, the songs get tedious also, but maybe it is just me idk
