Dec 1, 2021 I agree but for a random list of songs, I love Side A. Those Kinda Nights is the only Ed Sheeran song I like. But that’s one of my least favorite on A. I only really have one skip and that’s IN too Deep.
Dec 1, 2021 Side B is generic and childish, yet way better than A which has some lows that are must skips. Those Kinda Nights is horrible. I only like the hook.
Dec 1, 2021 They should be less childish with age, but nope. Don't get me wrong, I love Relapse and Side B, but at this point in his career this guy could make something more serious and drop a classic instead. Even Side A had a bunch of dumb tracks that make the quality of the project go downhill.
Dec 1, 2021 I get where you're coming from but it's still Eminem you're listening to. If you're expecting a 100% serious album you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I remember thinking revival was finally going to be a serious emotional album then next thing I know I was hit with "BLACK BOY BLACK BOY" and then the whole album dropped lol. Revival and recovery were the albums to try being more serious but he didn't do it. Hope at some point he does it and doesn't feel the need to make it another pop rap album.
Dec 1, 2021 literally the best Side A song. This is the type of song where I still believe that Eminem can make good songs that make sense, where he doesn't think about fast rap and meaningless rhymes. Lyrically it is the best song on Side A. Lyrically & musically it sounds like he did it in the 2000s in his prime.
Dec 1, 2021 this is one of his best street singles. if you don’t understand that he did it in the NWA Straigh Outta Compton style, then I’m sorry for you. he tried to recreate the same atmosphere that sounds in the legendary NWA song, for those who appreciate real hip-hop and can look at this problem from different angles. one of his best songs about our society. only a certified white racist Trump fan can hate this song. but most of Eminem's fans are people like that, so it's no wonder why they hate Revival's album. Eminem has had bad luck with American fans who live in the central part of the country.
Dec 1, 2021 It's time for him to make an album without dumb songs, he's on the finish line, and this songs damage the album quality. He's also 50, we can live without dad jokes for one album.
Dec 1, 2021 This s--- is whack, another ladies song by Em where he is yelling. Now someone will say he's not, but everytime I hear the beggining it's like Recovery yelling is back. I used to skip it until I just deleted it Untouchable was horrible too, but Revival is just another story
Dec 1, 2021 Love Game (ft. Kendrick Lamar), almost all songs off Kamikaze, Yah Yah, Homicide, etc here are some really dumb songs that he can live without and be one of the goat rap artists.
Dec 1, 2021 Leaving the past behind, he still has Those Kinda Nights, In Too Deep, Stepdad, Marsh, Little Engine, Farewell, and that's just Side A. I also think Yah Yah is painful to listen to. Side B is more generic, but way easier to listen to front to back than anything post Recovery imo.
Dec 1, 2021 I think these are very decent songs. yes I understand that the song Stepdad was not something real, but it sounds like TES. This side could easily be a classic, if Eminem had a better voice and better verses, without a fast rap & diss songs. The verses of the album's guests are literally the best thing there is on MTBMB. Also Jack Harlow & Polo G verses are the best that songs Killer (Remix) and One Last Standing have given us. it's really good when Eminem works with great artists, because at least the verses of these artists are what makes you happy when you listen to Eminem's new songs. and of course, the best thing Side A has given us is the appearance of Juice WRLD. He really was the best new rap artist that has died in recent years. he was the best. without Juice WRLD, Eminem's MTBMB album wouldn't have been as popular.
Dec 1, 2021 Em sounds good in Stepdad, but the song is as childish as it gets, and the hook is annoying, I also think Side B really improves on the production and hooks side, which makes it much more enjoyable. Juice was dope, but ---, Pop and Von were also very talented. All the good recent artists have died imo.
Dec 1, 2021 instrumental f---ing fire Eminem's flow reminded me of his flow from a performance at MTV EMA 2002, this is the same flow from his prime. Welcome to the Eminem Show! even the lyrics and the rhyme scheme like on the Eminem Show. this is definitely the only song that can be named as "The Eminem Show theme song" since Em returned in 2009. I have never heard of him doing Eminem Show-style songs again in the last 15 years.
Dec 1, 2021 and Godzilla song was kinda like Without Me 2 (but his fast rap ruined this song). He definitely wanted to name this album as The Eminem Show 2. It's good that he didn't name this album as The Eminem Show 2 because not all the songs on this album were worthy of that title.
Dec 1, 2021 I can listen to Side A front to back alot easier than Side B, Side A is just better put together I think.
Dec 1, 2021 I have to keep skipping tracks, and some hooks and beats aren't really ear pleasing like Yah Yah. It has some songs I really like, but I'm team Side B, I listened to it way more and without skipping tracks.
